My "Blue" State

I'm beyond sick of this state (Va.). We are in for hell. I don't see how a Republican can win state-wide office anymore.

Ohio held strong, proud of my state and region (northeast, not Cleveland, fuck them).

They weren't running this year.
House and Governor next run in 2021.
Senate next runs in 2023.

Obviously, the outlook for change in '21 ain't too hot right now. I would not be surprised to see a new anti-2A push by the legislature in the coming session (January '21). It was damn close in Jan '20, just barely beaten back.

While I am glad my state pulled its weight, my own county (Duval) is more fucked up than a football bat.

I've good for that as well.
There would need to be a nationwide freeze on creating new counties, cities, or municipalities. Or at least there would need to be some sort of limitations created.

Same here in CO, LA East, formerly known as Denver, combined with Boulder, Pueblo, and Alamosa and the California tax refugee/socialist missionary owned resort towns of Telluride, Vail, Ouray, Aspen, Srteamboat, Durango, and Crested Butte decide for the whole rest of the state every time.

Why is it that most counties that State capitals reside in are blue, commie areas? It's got to be related to the Washington DC swamp thing. Mostly government employees sucking off us tax payers.

Well, I'm counting on Nevada, I don't have high hopes for my state of Michigan. Fucking Detroit, then there this.

The urban/rural progressive/conservative political divide is as old as humanity. Nothing new here.

What is interesting about VA in particular is that it is clear that the state politics now pivot more off NoVa than Richmond.

Instead of one vote by county, we could still keep the electoral but separate into the reps district , if their district goes blue vote, they blue vote, red vote, red vote, etc.

No system is without faults if all we have in DC are a bunch of greedy, power mungering - I line my own pocket, mother fkers. All works fine if they have people who put the country first instead of themselves. This is the real problem. The one dude who tries to change the equation - well look what happens - impeachment, slander, and now fraud ... and the freaking establishment is all in it. I migrated to the USA from Australia - this isnt what i had expected. Disgusting.

Holy shit, you just solved it.

Electoral college on the state level. 1 vote per county. State gets to vote per their own college votes.


If nothing else, it would be entertaining for every single county to have over 100% of registered voters voting.

You want the sad truth? Trump is the only one who will leave office poorer than he entered.


These politicians are generally idiots with a law degree who can't get a real job, and realize they can fleece the people and lobbyists for $$$ while they go and do nothing. Add on the insider trading and other benefits, and you have politicians running who are bankrupt when they start, and set for life when they retire.

Those of us who are work are sick over it. Those looking for handouts couldn't care less about any of it.
