Pakistan hand made guns

Wouldnt trust that unless I had no other choice

Says what you want...but that's some impressive craftsmanship.

Hell half of us can't even assemble an AR without trouble...And these guys are building some impressive looking firearms by hand.....like literally by hand.

Ide be suspicious of the heat treat on a lot of these guns.....but using what they have available, these guys are able to do some true gunsmithing

Any thread that contain "Khyber Pass" content becomes an EPIC thread. Seriously. There have been entire documentaries done about these guys and it is just plain fucking awesome. Nine year old boy hammer forging new Glock parts in one room while an elderly man in the next room is putting finishing touches on a full AR parts kit, all built right there in that house. In another room, a rack of beautiful and restored Nepali Martini Henrys sit against a wall. Ornate prayer rug in the middle. Opposite side of the rug is another rack, full of everything from AKs to Lee Enfields, ready for sale...

Their shooting range? On the rooftop of the house of course... Boulders on a nearby hilltop being the targets.

You got tourists from USA and everywhere else up there racking off round after round and the ladies shopping at the market right underneath them don't even bother looking up even as spent cases tinkle all around them...

Nobody gives a flying fuck. AT ALL. Nobody fucks with them either. The Taliban keeps a wide berth because they know those folks get down to business. India makes a swipe at that territory sometimes but they also know better...

Black market guns are alive and well all the world over

Makes my heart swell with happiness and my face light up grinning when I see this particular "illegal" activity alive and well and growing. I hope it keeps growing and getting more popular, because more armed civilians, especially armed civilians willing to kick serious ass all over the world, will mean the decrease and even elimination of real criminal and abhorrent shit, such as global human trafficking.

Craftsmanship is a dying art. I would love any of this work!! Holy cow!!!

Some more Khyber Pass trivia...

IMA, or International Military Antiques, has attained legendary status since 2005 for being the leading and first source in the US to offer for sale original rifles and pistols dating back to the Civil War and every time period from 1865 to the present day. Many of these guns are in pristine and battle ready condition, and often sold for shockingly low prices depending on quantity and demand. It is not uncommon to find original 1873/92 Winchesters chambered in .45 LC and .44-40 for sale at $2000 or less. And since they are originals manufactured before 1899, no FFL is required for them and they get scooped up EXTREMELY quickly. Buyers wanting to score priceless items on IMA often had to do the Wall Street trader routine, constantly scrolling and refreshing their page and do the fucking Naruto run on the payment button as soon as an item appeared, lest it gets captured by another buyer.

Most famous hot items on IMA include Mausers, Mosin, and Krag pre-1899 actions refitted onto new stocks and often converted to .308, .30-06, .243, and other commonly available calibers. Once again, no FFL required because the serial numbered actions are pre-1899. Alongside these were fully restored Martini-Henry, Peabody-Martini, and Providence, RI-built 1866 Winchesters exported for the Ottoman Empire in the 1870s... Fully restored, with new internal parts, and ready to be fired with new black powder or BP substitute ammunition. Almost ALL of those guns I mentioned in this second paragraph had been restored and repaired by the gunsmiths at Khyber Pass before they were acquired in bulk by IMA's purchasing agents and imported here. MANY famous YouTube gun reviewers whose names are now household fixtures... Hickok45, Duelist54, Mag30th, and others, have done extensive reviews of IMA acquired original historical guns, putting them through their paces at the range, and showing the world the legendary accuracy and craftsmanship of many of the pieces. These videos, some which have millions of views, and their parent channels, have gotten to their status literally from the help of the Khyber Pass gunsmiths. It was because of these guys that so many restored and range-ready original guns spanning 130 years of global history could be available to modern shooters at prices lower than those of some current reproductions.

How do they make the frames and barrels?

The same way a 17th century Turkish armorer in a stone cottage at Edirne made the barrels of the jezaers for presentation to the sultan's army. Coal forge, manually operated bellows, and elbow grease. The guys at Khyber Pass actually have it easier. They have gas forges and motorized blowers...

Blue collar skills... Ultimate Chad points for guys throughout history.

Hi,

Those guys do more shit with a hand file than most in modern countries can do with 4 axis Mazak.....
Also do not let their look and attire fool you; they clean up rather well when they hit the International defense exhibition circuit.

Sincerely,
Theis
My friggin knees hurt seeing them work on the ground.... Stunning craftsmanship especially with available tooling.

Can you get a container full of those $200 MP5's ?

What is with the brick like Russian and Chinese (which I'm sure are copied Russian) handguns. ??

Be pretty cool if we had as loose of gun laws as Pakistan has.

The STRICTEST gun laws in Pakistan, are less strict than many conservative states in the USA. Carry permits are shall issue, unless you have done a really fucked up deed, in which case you most likely would have been executed already. A national license, of sorts, is required to deal and sell firearms, but it is usually not enforced unless it is in high density urban areas like Islamabad. Now compare to India, which has rape, robbery, assault, and murder rates far exceeding that of Brazil and Mexico, Pakistan's crime rate is low in comparison. And if you exclude political unrest due to military factions fighting for control, terrorism crossing in from Afghanistan and other parts of Central Asia, and religion-caused domestic violence and "honor killings", Pakistan is actually a safe place in the subcontinent.

F Vice but the video was decent, the parts showing them make ammo was interesting and cringe worthy at the same time.

Seriously though, the Philippines have a VERY strong gun culture, and President Rodrigo Duterte had loosened up many laws in non-ISIS infested areas to enable citizens to protect themselves and their assets more easily...

I watched both videos twice, just wanted them to last longer. No missing fingers. not even a black thumbnail, if you turned them loose on modern equipment they wouldn't have any fingers left in a week. I would pay just to watch them.

More hardcore porn. Watch before it goes away

I ran a Paki made MP5 for a while, actually worked well (although beaten zone accuracy) so long as you didn't try to use a HK made magazine, needed the extra slop in it.

do you have any links to the documentary for kyber pass?

Tourists do not get to go to Darra. That is deep in the tribal zone and you will, simply put, be murdered.

But I would love to see that place.

Pretty sure Christian Cranmer founder of IMA has been there multiple times. But in the 70’s and early 80’s when it was safer.

There is a great BBC series about Afghanistan called “The Great Game” and narrated by an ex UK soldier and later diplomat. Young guy. Free on YouTube. A great watch.
