Its a disease. I truly believe most of them cannot control it. Some really try but its jsut too deep a sickness. Thats not making an excuse for them, just observing what I've seen and read.

I sometimes will look at a 15 year old femal and thing "God damn look at that." But it stops there because she's a child. They just cant stop.

Usually there are only two options, and castration doesnt help.

i recently got a letter from an attorney that is trying to find witnesses to abuse at the public grade school i attended in the 60-70s.
unfortunately, i don't remember anything that would help him.

If in your situation I would google up attorneys representing victims and give them a call.

You might be able to help outting the abusers, and you might find a path toward peace by meeting with other victums.

That's where it gets a bit sticky and diverges from actual biology into dogma and societies made up rules which are subject to change.
That's when you do what is the current rules in society in order to not get in trouble, since trouble isn't worth it.

15 isn't a child in the same way that you could call a 10 year old a child.
There are plenty of 15 year olds and up that are running around this country right now, robbing, raping, carjacking and murdering folks.
15 is plenty old enough to be starting a family and reproducing and that was very common until recently in America.
It's actually still legal in many states in America, you just have to go to court and get a judge to sign off.
In other countries around the world 15 to 16 is considered an adult for all matters sexually.

Here apparently, we have fixated on the number 18 so that's what everybody is all up in arms about, despite actually sometimes 17 being the legal age in some states and such. Interestingly enough the more controlling ones in our society thought 18 wasn't enough for other things they didn't like so they decided sure you are an adult, but you still can't go buy alcohol or a handgun for self defense until we get a higher arbitrary number like 21.
Since current society in America is all messed up about sex and such, it's always a good idea to stay clearly well over the arbitrary 18 line despite there being legal exceptions, because you never know when some angry young crazy woman will be trying to destroy you because you didn't make her the princess she wanted to be.

I personally (as much as some folks will freak out at the idea) think that 16 and 17 year olds who fully knew what they were doing and were willing participants and even instigators in sexual activity, trying to claim that they are "child abuse" victims, does a significant disservice to real actual children who were children and actually got forcibly raped and abused.

That being said, any decent men who are older and intelligent and wise, probably will steer well clear of even 18 year olds as it's not worth the drama, and probably will be looking at women who are a fair bit older and have less crazy.

As far as the few religions that promote celibacy for their priests and pastors, that just seems to attract the worst kind of people to those "authority" positions.

I dont stop and say "No" to myself because Im afraid of getting caught, though there is that, but rather, because in OUR PRESENT SOCIETY she is a child. Castration generally stops at the testicles. While science would suggest that it would help solve our problem, it may not prevent it entirely.

I would submit we remove the whole package and provide the offenders with one of these for $7 so they don't make a mess of public restrooms.

First of all, you have my sympathy for what you went through and may still be dealing with. I do not understand the lack of empathy from others nor the "just get over it" mind set. That may work for some but it does not work for others. Please consider seeing a therapist of some sort who may be able to help you figure out what will help you. I agree with contacting the attorneys involved in this case.

Second, people who abuse others disgust me--especially those in authority, such as clergy, medicine, and law enforcement. I cannot tell you how harshly I think they should be dealt with.

Third, regarding age of consent--I think that there is a huge difference between 15 year olds exploring sexuality with each other and an adult taking advantage of a teenager who "consents" or even initiates an encounter. Grow up and be a man. Having a dick no more makes you a man than a dress makes a man a transgender woman. Yes, other countries and times have/had different traditions. Allowing children to grow up has been one of the major advances of Western Civilization. Preferring relationships with younger people represents immaturity and/or insecurity. Intimate relationships should be between equals. Flame on...

It may sound a bit heartless, but if you are around bad things yourself and / or have lots of experience with people who have had bad things happen to them, eventually you learn the hard cold truth that those who can mentally draw a line under it, walk away from it and never revisit it again, are the ones who on the whole, lead normal, fulfilling lives and are emotionally and mentally stable. Those who dwell on it and are always looking for closure and always needing to talk or have therapy about it, tend to have a life filled with negative forces and instability.

A lot of people all throughout history, as well as currently and in the future, have been through a lot worse and like everyone else, had to decide to move on or let that be what their life was all about.

Again, why I suggested that book, it puts things in perspective.
The world, just like nature is not a tender coddling place.

People are different, they are wounded in different ways they need to heal in different ways, not all can just walk away.

Some forms of abuse cause you to see yourself as evil. I think that is harder to walk away from than seeing someone killed.

I read VFrankl 50 years ago. Ive found a much simpler way to put it into perspective.

I just think of the poor woman in Somalia (or countless other places) sitting i a refugee camp watching her child starve because she cant make enough milk for it but there are boatloads of food in the harbor that some pisswad warlord wont allow to be unloaded.

Or that even though Im a poor, here in America, I still have it better off than 80%? 90%? or the rest of the world.

Ever seen where some child is questioned by an expert and a parent was then accused, tried, family torn apart and then find out that everything was fabricated? I recall a few years ago that many adults were supposedly revealing things many years later during therapy/hypnosis that turned out to be manufactured.

Especially if the OP says this happened to them in the 70s.
If you were an altar boy in the 70s, that means you are in your 50s or early 60s now.
Anyone of the adult sort who was involved, is probably long dead.

The sickness is deeper than that. Removing the genitals would only stop penetration. Those sick ones are interested in something else, actual sex is only part of it.

Only two ways to stop it, prison or dead.
