Not really a gun that a lot of people here are into but since HK just officially released the HK SP5 with the 8" barrel and paddle release I called my FFL and he is a big HK dealer who was getting a few. I just slapped down the money to hold one for me. I have all the ar's I need at this point and I have the HK SP5K which is awesome, so this will round out the pcc nice! I was shooting my SP5K this weekend at the house and the wife loves it! I live on acreage so I put some steel in the back and the wife was having a blast with the HK and said it is her favorite of all my guns so I figured I need another! At least that sounds legit.

Totes jelly man, sounds awesome! I’ve always wanted one of those, but I’m too cheap so I settled for building an AR9. It’s my favorite too. How does an SP5 feel compared to an AR?

Oh nice, the paddle release was a glaring difference that kept me away from them initially. I'll have to check them out again.

Was going to pick one up from my dealer next week, but ended up making a $$$ NV purchase instead.
Hopefully I can get in on the next batch.
I really hope that HK manufactures these in sufficient quantities to meet demand.

I think that they would be crazy not to.
 
Oh fuck me.

I have the SP5k and SBR'd it so I could use the folding stock and forward grip. Now they come out with this that has all the features we were bitching that the SP5k didn't have. Only thing I'm meh on is the binary trigger for it somehow isn't as good as the AR version.

Ugh.
 
Yeh it is a lot of coin to drop on a 9mm fun gun but they are awesome. They are night and day different from an AR 9mm. I have not shot a JP though and some say the GR15 is close to MP5 territory but the JP runs close to the price as the HK. I know, it has no las round blot hold and people complain about the ergos but they are awesome.
 
You could always check out the PTR 9. Its basically everything the HK is but made in the USA and is compatable with all HK Parts. Also 1k less in price.
 
Yeh I need to get a claw mount for it as well. My SP5K came with the optics mount but the new ones do not.
 
Nice and just in time for Christmas Die Hard! I am not going to pick it up until Jan. but I will post some when I get it for sure. I wanted it now but he is holding it for me, so at least I know I have one set aside!
 
Here is the SP5K I have. I went with an HK adapter and Hera Folder. The mechanism is smooth and works great but it places your check weld very high. So, I will probably change it eventually. Looks like imagur changed their platform so not sure how to embed them but here are some of the one I have now.

ETA could be wrong but I coulda swore I saw one in there when I saw the trailer on tv.. regardless this movies gone rock!
 
just took out my OMega 9 MP5K clone yesterday with a Dakota Tactical folding tailhook brace. all i took with me was 115 grainers and it was louder than i hoped for with a ghost and Octane 9 ( both 3 lug mounts), but not too loud. need to take some 147 grainers next time and really get a good idea of how quiet it is.


and FYI, way smoother than my AR 9.
 
Picked up and posted the pics. I love it already! It is just such an amazing handling weapon. I shot it some already but need to get the brace on there and the optic rail then I will play with it more.
