Very solid, and just out on Netflix.
Is a female lead role, but it really not a chick flick . Will bring out the Chess nerd in you, Especially if you played in school, because there is always the one asshole that was never beat and made you look like a dog when playing against.

Excellent , far better than I anticipated
Great background stories and good grasp of chess addiction.

I thought it was a good, a lot better than I expected.

This really WAS a good series. Nice to see something on tv that had to do with brains and intelligence. As opposed to the regular mindless drivel that is generally portrayed.

    Everywhere.

    All the time.

I got hooked and binged this the other week. I was one of the best series I’ve watched this year. I may have to check out the book it was based on.

Sucked me in and better than I thought. Worth a try even if you don't think it's for you.

The first episode was hard to get through. But, it picked up after that. I’m far from a chess nerd, but I really enjoyed it.

Thought it was very good, issue is I've heard a bunch of people say I'm not into chess or games so it wouldn't be for me, well, it's not even about the chess.
At first I thought maybe it was actually a true story; typically people don't pull Kentucky out of nowhere for a book/show to be based out of (I'm from KY so I found that interesting/odd).

I enjoyed it also, Netflix has actually had some really good series. I really liked the Man in the High Castle.

I enjoyed it but maybe that’s because I grew up playing chess. I still enjoy watching Searching for Bobby Fischer...

Queens Gambit was a fantastic show. The chick that played the lead definitely has some acting chops.

Just started this show last night on a friends recommendation. Started pretty slow but I ended up watching 2 episodes last night 😂

Very original and well done. I dont play chess but can appreciate the game.

I've had plans on building a chess table for a few years now, but unfortunate life events have gotten in the way. This show re-instills an interest in that project, and will have to dig up the plans again.

    Great show.

Awesome series, I thought it was very good and it actually made chess “exciting” for lack of a better word because one can only be so excited about chess

I reluctantly watched and thought it was going to be another women suck thing, but please try surprised

    *Spoiler alert!!!!

Really liked this one and thought it was well done. Know nothing about chess, but I'm a nerd in other ways. I really liked that they didn't make Borgov out to be an arse-hole after she beat him.

Watched the first two episodes last night. It was a refreshing change from all of the BLM, systemic racism, and police brutality bullshit that the networks have conveniently injected into their prime time programming.

Yeah. His name was David Rapaport. Nobody from any high school ever beat him. One of those freaky smart guys who was so "ahead of his time" he burned out by the time he finished college... graduated NYU at 19 and disappeared. David, wherever you are, I hope you're at peace.
