This is very much what I have noticed in MT.

I question if Georgia's really a red state anymore. Rural areas, I'm sure, but that's not what matters anymore. What matters is Methlanta and there's no way in hell that's anything but blue.

The solution is similar to the electoral college and to how senators used to be elected before the 17th amendment.

One county = One vote. That way the megacities can't steamroll the rural and suburban populations.

Sounds fine by me. That's how a Republic is supposed to work, I thought.

An additional issue is the introduction of a whole bunch of extra parties and candidates into what was envisioned as a two-, maybe three-party system at most.

I've wondered if perhaps there ought to be a requirement simply for 1 Conservative and 1 Liberal, and perhaps 1 Moderate/Libertarian/middle-ground for tiebreaking purposes, Senator per state. The Vice Presidency was originally supposed to be the losing candidate, so that there would still be an advisor advocating for the opposing party's viewpoints so the President could do his job better and with all citizens in mind. Seems to me that having the Senate based on the same principle would be a good idea, maybe.

Better yet, no leftists period. These are diseased people. Liberalism is a mental disorder and the root of most of the world's problems. Debating ideas is one thing. Debating reality is another.

ID and MT seems more an more purple than it does red. But maybe I'm just interacting with more blue people than before.

Depends on what machines are doing the counting.

I'm hoping for the "Great Reset"... but not the same one they are.

Interesting. Most people I know in MT claim it’s being overrun these days with leftists fleeing their shit-hole states.
I think that is the fear, but 2020 was the reddest MT has been in decades. There are three major areas of refugees. Two of them are getting redder, one is getting much bluer. But people definitely fear the change when they hear Californians move in, though, as far as I can tell, the Californians did not bring their big Ds with them. I think 2020 was the first time that no Democrat won a statewide race, and the state legislatures got redder, bigly.

I think there is something to this trend. Hard working, anti-tax people are fleeing the heavy D areas in CA, NY, IL, and New England. The result is they are bringing red votes to states that reflect their policy preferences. Many of these folks are the back-bone of this country's economic engine: the small business owner. Thanks to new sales channels, many of these entrepreneurs aren't bound to a local geography anymore and have the free to choose where they live and do business.

I'm optimistic that the spirit of Americans - freedom loving individuals who want to organize as families and want low taxes and regulations with high law, order and security - will continue to keep this country the premier place to live for many generations to come.

So I loved reading this article. THanks for posting it.

Not to mention that it is exactly the way it is supposed to work. States should be able to reflect the differences in their populations. I, for one, welcome anybody with the right worldview to move to my state, whether they are from New York, California or Cuba.

Was that really how it was done with senators back in the day? Seems like a great idea.

LMAO, why does this even come up as an argument? They already steal the elections. They are just going to be more and more refined moving forward. We had our chance to fix it. We are not voting our way out of this. Take that to the bank.

What are you waiting for? Be a hero.

***this is sarcasm***

red? blue? like it matters.

they’ll just move the goal posts yet again. they’ll cheat, lie, and steal the election just like they did this last one and probably the romney/obama election as well (although that eventually worked to our favor-and oh yeah, FUCK romney).

none of it matters at all. everything after last november is a complete sham and the rule of law is dead.

New Mexico must be getting all the blue refugees because my state is becoming more stupid with each passing year. The progressives have gained even more strength and passing crime enhancing laws such as bail reform and limiting qualified immunity. Drug abuse is rampant and the related crime is out of control in ABQ. If it wasn't for the National Laboratories and DOD installations it would be like a third world country.

The red states are becoming more red to prepare for the blue onslaught. Tx and ga and probably states like or and va are not blue nor purple. The left would have you believe that people here have slowly been turning liberal. Not so. Get rid of the voting machines and put voter identification in place and quite frankly we‘ll see that this bullshit has been going on for a longtime. The left was slowly taking the coastal and edge states where the red was becoming surrounded. the west coast, most of the east, a lot of the north and all they had left was Tx. They figure Fl will eventually go blue but basically the red states are caught in a pincer move. Surround us and choke us out.

Hopefully this is right and ID won't be turning demcom anytime soon.

As you well know, CDA and Boise in particular but the whole of ID is being inundated by the weird coasties.

I'm not hopeful for FL moving forward as the influx from NY, MA and NJ is insane. FL's population is growing at a frenetic pace and at first I thought all the license plates might just be long spring break trips. Then seeing 2 of them in newly bought homes in my hood let's me know the poisoning from within will continue as these nitwits import their special brand of stupidity.

Florida has always been a transient state. when I lived there the south on the Atllantic was already way overpacked. north of Vero, the gulf and of course the pan handle were still old Florida. Ie... room to move and not sit in traffic on 95. Today, I think if I were Fl bound it would be the floribama area.

Sadly, people want all liberals to go away. This will never happen. We have had two theaters of operation outside the US on the War on Terror, people dont understand you cannot eliminate an ideology.

Exactly. If elections are not secured right fucking now, none of this matters. The communists are only in power because of their ability to steal elections. The population is fucking fed up and turning against the left more and more daily but it doesn't matter unless we the people get to actually pick our lawmakers.

Trump likely won every state and the biggest popular vote delta ever seen but a communist occupation is in the WH. This is the future if elections are not secured right fucking now.
