So, I get a call from him again last night. And boy, is he happy. Very very happy, and I can pretty-much hear him bouncing in his seat (over the phone) when he was talking to me. This is because, after such a long time, there has finally been some decisive action on his/their case.

Some of ya'll remember Eddieo, and his legal plight against "the man" (or would the Irish version be "The Mann?" :D ) so anyways,,, let me give ya'll the update:

A pair of Assistant Police Commissioners were arrested yesterday, with numerous charges laid. One of them had a 'separate' safe-deposit-box that had been opened at the time that Eddieo AND the boys were railroaded into this mess. Through lengthy investigations from their version of "Internal Affairs", there is a mass of evidence (including video) that shows this man putting more than $400,000.00 Euro's (I dunno how to do the fancy 'e' sign) into it. Amongst other places/things.

Both the Ass. Police Commi's (is that the right way to spell it? HA) have lost their pensions, and one was fired from his job yesterday. The other one had quit some years ago, when 'the heat' was turned on because of this case.

It seems that there is 7 more arrests pending in the next few days. In talking to Ed, he did say names, and give further details, and whatnot. I just simply can't remember it all, due to my memory issues. I had asked him to send me an email with the details that he wanted me to share here, but he's obviously been busy. As soon as I get it, I'll update here. He did want me to put this out though, to let all you friends and supporters know that this wonderful turn of events has happened.

Every time I've said anything for him, I have always stated that we all know that NOT all police officers are bad. That has never been the issue. But for those who ARE bad, NO QUARTER shall be given. Ed, and the others involved in this case, have gone the long haul. BIG TIME. For the amount that they were offered a few years ago, to 'settle' the case was very very tempting. But 'The Boys' stayed the course, to see this through. To make things right for themselves, and ALL.

There are many LEO's that he's interacted with/worked with/dealt with over the years who are fine, upstanding individuals. He'll be the first to state that, unequivocally.

And here's the kicker that had him the happiest:

His/their lawyers and legal team (they call them something different over there, again I forget the name) received a letter from the Crown Judges who're presiding over this case. A final decision shall be released before the end of this month!

How's that for fantastic, eh? (more updates to follow, as soon as I get 'em) Myself and My Lady can hardly wait for them to get their arse's over here!

    Excellent, that's wonderful news.
That BS has been going on for what seems like forever.

Hoping Eddieo can finally get his deserved "good nights sleep" now that the Hounds are caged.

As my grandfather would say that's grand, born and raised in Drogheda.

Great news for our Man in Ireland!!!!

If he decides to visit Canada by way of the Gulf Coast I'd love to meet up. A night of booze and blowing shit up with The Mikes down in FLA would be a great intro to the US
