    Violence erupted in Portland late Sunday just blocks from the federal courthouse after the driver of a pickup truck crashed, was reportedly pulled from the vehicle and then brutally beaten by a mob after a confrontation with protesters.

    I have four words for those of you here (you know who you are) who constantly bring up the doomsday stories about what will happen to anyone who fights back against these things: SHUT THE FUCK UP.

    ALWAYS carry a handgun within easy reach and deployment.

    ALWAYS carry a knife. Preferably a sheathed fixed blade that is AT LEAST 5 inches and longer, with a good textured handle for maintaining grip even when slippery with blood. Clip points and dual edges are bonuses.

    The MOMENT they try to pull you out of your vehicle, it is time to start fucking stacking the bodies up. The blade is ESPECIALLY useful in this situation, as motherfuckers will have their arms and hands extended and trying to grab you. PLENTY of vulnerable places to stab and thrust. Grab a wrist and let them have it right through the neck or armpit up to the hilt.

    ALWAYS remember to TWIST the blade as you are yanking it back out.

    DO NOT preoccupy yourself on one target. Stab, twist, withdraw. Move immediately to the next threat in range.

    DO NOT EXIT THE VEHICLE UNLESS IT IS ON FIRE. If you must leave the vehicle, run and fight at the same time. Crouch down when you feel that you are being grabbed. Make your opponents open up their vital regions and go right for them.

    Last but not least, all of this requires MINDSET. How much are you willing to survive the situation? And how much are you willing to get really dirty and bloody with other peoples' blood in order to survive? We have seen instances in Russia where heavily armed soldiers had been dragged out of their armored vehicles by Islamic insurgents with machetes and killed because they had been too hesitant to engage. In the meantime, not too long ago in China, an 11 year old girl stabbed a home invader/attempted rapist to death and sawed his head off with a kitchen knife. When a crisis counselor accompanying the responding police showed up and tried to tell her that "everything is okay", she SPAT in his face and told him to go back to his office and play his video games... And lets not even go to the brave Afghan girl who ventilated 2 of the Taliban shits that had killed her parents. I can write a full separate post about that. MINDSET. MINDSET is EVERYTHING.

    I never leave home without my carry. I always try to avoid confrontations. But should the need arise such as one like this vehicle scene. Keep your motor running. Reverse.....forward.......reverse.......forward. Make the threat go away. I would have to make it my last resort to pull my friend which I always have by my side. But if it ever does come down to it. I will. My life or their life. I will choose mine every day. Would I want to. No. Should I if I have to. Yes.

    That attack, in my mind, will always be the perfect example of why you *never* get out of your vehicle (unless it’s on fire). Guy was driving a damn Mack truck, and could have cruised through/over that bunch of trash without even downshifting.

    Like a lot of you, this scenario (vehicle trapped in riot, occupants dragged out, beaten, etc.) brings up a lot more rage in me than the “usual violence & beatings” that these protests generally produce.
    I think a big part of it is this: most of us here are confident that we are prepared (and willing) to undertake the type of violence of action that this situation calls for if you want to live through it. It’s You vs. an Angry Mob, which means you are going to have to become a LOT meaner than them, a LOT quicker than them. I think the part that infuriates some of us is that we have people we care about who are not violent (because they just aren’t wired that way) and they could easily be the victim of something like this. It’s a pretty helpless feeling.

    The problem is that you never know where these groups are. They are no longer centered around the courthouse. They are operating all over the entire city of Portland, end to end, and you have no idea if you leave your house between 4pm-8am if you're going to run into a mob of them. Impossible to predict or know where they are in real-time.

    I normally carried my full size Glock before this. Now, rifle-rated body armor and an AR-15 in the passenger seat with three full medical kits in the truck. I have to get through Portland 4-6 times a week for business.

    LOT of people are leaving. There's not much reason to live in downtown anymore for the people there because everything is closed up. A buddy helped some friends move out a few months ago and said it's worth taking a drive through, because the place to him looked just like Ramadi. Things have only gotten worse in the ~4 months since then.

    Housing prices blown up, and everyone in the world trying to get loans right now, lots of people out of work and everyone trying to leave Portland isn't making it easy to find a place outside. Lots of people are stuck.

    My daughter lives in Portland now. She just started a new job and won't leave. I'm in Douglas County to the south. 180 miles away from Portland and I'm here to tell you if they try that shit here it will be biblical what will happen to them.

    Another unpopular opinion, but you'd have to be a retard to put yourself in a situation with these protesting fuckers. I steer very clear of situations such as this, let them fuck each other. I have zero desire to straighten them out at this point, they largely only harm themselves with their fuckery. I also know that if I get caught up in some shit like this it will be kill first and die last. If you're on your feet you get the heat. That albino fucktard who got toasted for intimidation will look like a episode of goddamn Barney compared to the level of violence I would exercise in response to a mob threat. I very much enjoy my peaceful and productive life, and I know a cliff when I see one.

    I agree. I am a peaceful man but if someone were to threaten myself or a member of my family I would become so belligerent that I would have to plead insanity after I finished. Because I would be in a fit of rage. So much that I would not remember what happened.
