DBA Choice 1: Fire Knives
DBA Choice 2: Distorted Fire Knives(where every blade comes with a nice cigar to smoke as you unbox it, or the first time you hone the blade, or clean a rifle, whatever.)

Everyone knows Distorted Fine Cigars. NY hated tobacco by raising Costs from $100 to $1000 per licensed location. They bumped Excise from 46% to 68%, AND added a $0.05 per stick for UNSOLD stock or in my case somewhere north of $125 monthly. With that, we shut it down in 2009. The Hide was directly responsible for over half the business while I was active duty.

Bringing back a known name that is trusted among Hide members from way back would make me a bit more recognizable, and throwing in a nice smoke with each blade, well, who does that? Me!

Trying to figure out a way to mix both names, but I DO love the simplicity of FIRE, `/\` and my maker's mark, a fire kanji

I'll make my choice, but I figure I'd throw it out for you guys to vote on to influence me one way or the other. It will be an LLC, becuase, well, LLC can get cool stuff where sole proprietor cannot.

I'm the guy who would ask before I send. Some people get insulted if you even offer as many are ex smokers. I gave up Camel and Srikes over a decade ago for good, but every time I see a pack of Strikes or camel cowboy killers, I really find it easy to just ask for the pack and some matches. I resist the urge because every Sunday night, I enjoy a great cigar while on teh phone with my best freind an drink whiskey.
Someone told me, ya open the box and see that cigar, cutter, and you think dang, I think I'll light this. Then you unwrap the sheathed knife, smell the scent of clove as you remove the knife. look at the forge and hammer marks on the spine, see the hamon line from differential heat treat, and let it sink in that this is pretty nice, kinda cool, as you slide it onto your belt, near the buckle, the test the draw in a rising diagonal and see wow, this thing will really CUT! Th ya sit back, enjoy the cigar, and just enjoy looking at your new knife.

Eh, I gave up smoking. Lucky strikes and camels were delicious. Those "fire safe" papers made everything taste like ass.

Never understood why do it if you don't enjoy it? I love the taste of good tabacco, but couldn't find anything good anymore.

Do you have a link to your knives, I need another hunting/skinner.
I am currently finishing the last two all stock removal blades. Moving forward everything will be forged.
I have no link...yet. I am waiting for an anvil to get here, and am picking up my tongs and gloves this week.

The first new blades will fall under that hunter, skinner, edc label with 3" to 4" blades, 1.25" to 1.5" wide and be available in the new year if all goes right. My goal is within six months to have a DBA, EIN, and be legal. Trying to avoid using ETSY and Amazon. There are a few dedicated knife sites, and I have a few friends who also have stuff set up who will assist me

I think just "Fire" would be better out of the two. Check and see if you can get a national trademark on that instead of just in your state though (if you want to).

The "hip and cool" social-media thing to do these days though:

Xtreme Fire
Extreme Fire
Tactical Fire
MIL-Spec Fire
Sniper Fire
Extreme Sniper Fire
Super Sniper Fire
Tactical Sniper Fyre
Tactical MIL-SPEC Sniper Fire
Titanium Fire
Direct Fire
Tactical Fire Training
Extreme Fire Training
Xtreme Fire Training
Fyre
Xtreme Fyre
Extreme Fyre

I am sure there are plenty more...

Until I get a box set up, all my knives will go out in the USPS Flat Rate video box will look like this:

Shibori dyed jersey rag. Nothin like having a brand new rag to wipe down your brand new knife with ;)

What about Fire Forged?
too close to the show name. I have a lot of respect for the winners of that show. Followed a guy, got some new followers who were knife makers, checked them out, and next thing I know, shoot a handful are forged in fire champs. Half Face, Flying Shark, Hammerhead, Faction, Kim Breed(my neighbor) are just a few of the guys I like to see the work from. I'm learning faster than I would normally by watching really good people work.

I think "Fire" just sounds right. Having said that I suddenly have a hankering for a God of Fire Serie A... To the humidor!

God of Fire A is a good two hour smoke. Hope you got a nice bottle to go with it
I do! :) It isn't fancy but I really like how Eagle Rare pairs with all the Promethius stuff as well as Opus X! ?

Eagle rare s a bit watery to me. I prefer the 100p and up stuff to pare with a nice Maduro or oscuro myself, but for som reason, I just find myslf going for those Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970's. Love those things!
Awesome stick for sure and not for the faint of heart! Only cigar that ever gave me the meat sweats was that 4x60 Grand Reserva! Mind you I would have puked up my toenails before I put it out. So good!

The only cigar that ever gave me the heat and nicotine overdose was a Gurkha Black Dragon. The are 8.5 x 50. I think it may have also been sponsored by the three glasses of 15 yea old pappy and the glass of 23 year old pappy, I enjoyed with it, along with the four glasses of zin with dinner, and two martini's before. That big ass cigar was just enough to push me over that nasty edge...that's like 12 packs of Camel straights worth of nicotine. I did have a 6x64 LFD DL give me the wanna's on an empty stomach once, head was all sweay, I was a nice shade of green, and Panty 6 was looking at me teasing,"Oh, you smoked without eating dinner, you gonna puke out that weakness or what?"

That's usually what gets me. Empty stomach can equal a bad time. Thank God for southern sweet tea! The LFD NAS is a bad little dude too! Just a wee cigar but Litto must have had a masochistic streak when he blended that one. Ligero! Ligero! Ligero! indeed! So good but so deadly. :)

I watched guys turn green after dinner in Bagram on LFD DL660's
Woah, Sarge, this shit is strong as fuck, damn, uh I think Imma head out, not feelin so good
Eh, man up and finish it, just puke over behind the blue shitters .

This photo still resides on the wall of Tampa Humidors and Cigars too

TBT that time I killed both the PX AND Green Beans in the cigar market. Section Chief's from G1, G5, G6, their NCOIC's and NCO's, OSI, Staff Officers and NCO's from the CASH, contractor's, all buying killer cigars through Distorted Fine Cigars becuase we were getting better, fresher stock as fast as it could be sold, AND filling custom requests. That deployment opened a few other business doors as well with Revision Eyewear(3 separate custom orders for 3k, 6k, 3k), and a really cool african safari hunt 'think tank' meeting in TX(huge network for that)

Cigars were easy, but theft, er taxation in NY killed it right before I came down here to Campbell
