Consider the big picture. To me, tis seems more of a way of putting the focus on any future supreme court decisions rather than any meaningful changes. I think it obvious any or all of these laws (if made) will go tonthe supreme court. I'm willing to bet this will be coming up in the election cycles to attempt to stop DJT another pick once RBG goes under.

@Tucker301 has a point about being drunk on power.

I personally don't think he could do it on his own, as he has to have some national backing to some degree. I think VA was picked exactly for the reasons you state. Rural/conservative, if they can flip VA they can flip pretty much any other state. Kind of like going to prision and finding the biggest MoFo to punch in the face first day. Not smart, but not without purpose either.

Im guessing there are hundreds if not thousands of capable, experienced and effective people that have overcome the loss of a limb or two or three that after Thursday would certainly go to bat for Trump.
