I like that chair too, mine sucks. I would get pissed at the fact that the leaves on that tree would keep poking me and we'd have a go. I would choose a real knife for that.

Oh and Benicio said wood is fine with him

Wow. Wrong weapons with which to whittle wood would be woefully wacky, wouldn't it?

Really!

Re: fighting knives vs. woodcraft knives

Woodscrafting is a hobby and I suppose a lifestyle?
No offense, but that don't work for me...There is no fking way I am going to spend half a day carving a potholder or building a fire with friction when I have a couple of perfectly good lighters.

When I'm in the field I show up prepared, capable, deliberate, and ready to take care of business. Most of the time I don't bother with a fire...What do I need a fire for?
I don't sing.
If I do need a fire I smash some branches down stomp them into bits, get my fire starter out of my pack, pull out one of my lighters and do it.
Boom done. Why spend an hour or more doing a 15 minute job?
Bush to me means as much as 200 inches of annual rainfall...So I speak wet wood just fine.
Now pass me an MRE.

I have no use for your blunt edged crazyhorse knife however I do have my Grandfather's (razor sharp) WWII KBar....That has yet to break from 60 years of bush use BTW. If need be I pull the Spyderco Paramilitary (or similar) out of my pants for small shit.
I wont be carving a walking stick anytime soon either...Carbon fiber is a bitch to carve.

Different strokes I suppose.

Buy one and try it in the rain...There is a reason we evolved.
Don't forget your special carcoal or tinder....

Stick with BIC or better yet a windproof lighter...Bring two.

and then looked around the 'net a bit and noticed a pattern of more noise than signal. Opinions are nice, and I would welcome his on Japanese cutlery and technique for making rolled and flattened sushi, but whatever he picked up from hanging out at airsoft forums doesn't translate into anything like good info that's going to make me a better shooter in the long run. If anything, it dilutes what you can already learn here, and for some folks, that might be dangerous.

Why the hell do you give a shit, and complain so fucking much?

Your second post was bashing all the people who viewed your topic for not posting a fucking comment.

And then your third comment was bashing Veer for possibly being a fanboy of Gerber? Why the hell would you want to bring Gerber down like that? Have you actually put dirt on their knives instead of dust? Granted they aren't perfect, but a knife is supposed to fucking cut, and not be able to chop down a fucking tree, irregardless of what some dipshit in a knife rag does by "batoning" wood. Better idea is to grab a fucking axe, or haul your ass down to Lowes, or Home Depot and buy a fucking chainsaw.

Stop making yourself out to be a fucking Mountain Man, and then go crying, and complaining on the internet, when people piss in your topic, or don't show you the attention you think you deserve.

BTW, YOU, hyping up that Ruger 10/22, as the new latest, and greatest, new survival wonder weapon, was bullshit.

Re: fighting knives vs. woodcraft knives

if you see me in any relevant thread talking about anything important as to the training of this nations shooters feel free to stick a foot in my ass.....but the fact is. i do not shit in threads where i have no knowledge....you on the other hand seem to love to do so.

so i guess i am the bad guy here right?

Let's see. I got 3 years, 7 months, 10 days here, or 1,319 days, and 1,964 posts, including this one.

That's 1.5 posts a day, give or take a handful of posts. Let me know when I break 2 a day and we'll talk intervention.

Re: fighting knives vs. woodcraft knives

Damn, I loooove me some instant Asian noodles, but the sodium is so friggin' high that it's a once in a great while thing these days.

Anybody know about sources for low-sodium ramen?

RAMENRAMENRAMEN FTW!

Re: fighting knives vs. woodcraft knives

Trolls.....all of you.

I do have to say though, the M6 might be a nice weapon for putting under the seat, but I'd never carry one in the woods unless I had to. Heavy single shot pig, I'd take a snake charmer first.
