With all the information and first hand owners' accounts available now regarding all the shenanigans with EVs, only a true masochist would still buy an electric vehicle. Fucking dumbasses.

Until we have developed a backpack sized fusion or antimatter reactor that is safe enough and light enough to fit inside a vehicle frame and function, EVs are out of the question entirely. There is a reason why global industries since the very first steam engine was built had ALWAYS relied on combustion of hydrocarbon fuels to generate motive power directly, through steam or internal combustion, and indirectly via an onboard alternator. Hydrocarbons have proven to be the MOST efficient and stable source of available potential energy, and still is.

If these fashionistas would actually learn some svience, not the junk science that has been pushed on them for decades about rising sea levels and drowning polar bears. Maybe some of them could have invented a more efficient solar cell, room temperature superconductive materials or a better electric motor.

Instead they are cobbling together 19th century tech made of plastic (aka oil) and trying to tell us EV’s are the future. Baker and Detroit electric tried that 120 years ago and failed.

It’s all about destroying the car industry and the infrastructure so everyone can be moved into hives.

Just ask the UAW members who finally seem to be waking up to the fact that they are not wanted…. And destroying the Big three means no transport for anyone. Which means the end of non-urban life.

It’s all their plan. And the retards are eating it up!!!

"The United Autoworkers are being sold down the 'drain' with this all electric car scam," Trump posted Sunday on Truth Social. "They'll be made in China, under Crooked Joe's China First policy. Autoworkers, vote for Trump — I'll make you victorious & rich."

"If your 'leaders' won't endorse me, vote them out of office, now," Trump's statement continued. "With the Democrats & Crooked Joe calling the shots, you'll be jobless & penniless within 4 years."

Back in my days on the farm we cleaned out some pasture for more farm ground. Mesquite trees and hand tools, Grubbing hoe, ax, and shovel. Lot of hard work involved. Later dynamite was employed for some stubborn post holes.

After becoming a welder I had to travel long distances to some leases and bought a GI can to carry extra gasoline. Eventually along came the safety man to inspect my rig to see if I was carrying anything dangerous. The GI can had to go although I pointed out that we had successful fought WW II with them. No go, I still had to go to an EPA safety can. Back then that consisted of a round can that took up more room, a short spout with a spring loaded cover that had to be held open and a screen inside the spout that caused the gas to slowly gurgle out and required a funnel to prevent spilling most of it's contents. As soon as the safety guy checked my new can I took a piece of rod and a hammer and knocked the screen out and cut off a piece of hose so I could siphon gas out of the can instead of spilling a lot of it on me and what I was trying to pour the gas into. Safety guy never caught onto to me bypassing the EPA.

Along with the gas can thing he brought up that oxygen and acetylene bottles had to be separated by 10' so we might have to look at that on my truck. I handed him a tape measure and told him to figure how it could be done and I would do it. Now he was smarter than the average safety person that got their job by not being very good at anything else so was shuffled out the way. In fact we were pretty good friends. He just handed my tape back and that was the end of the conversation. Eventually he became so disgusted with that job that he stepped down and became a roustabout, the lowest job the company had, and he was a good one as he came to our area and I got to watch him in action.
You left out the best part about that stupid mesh. Getting gas in is worse then getting it out. The gas will not flow in fast enough so the pump will shut off.

Big screw driver and drove that stupid shit out.

And they would have failed again already if not for the .gov dumping shit tons of our money into them, for the exact same reasons. There are some things that have come along that have removed the real need for electric cars, having to hand crank them for example. But they are still not "the" answer. IMHO if you already live, work, but groceries, and generally live your life in the 15min city you really don't need a real car. A battery toy will do you just fine.

The UAW are also going to learn that there will be no bail out for the bad decisions forced upon the car compaines by .gov and you will see a massive constriction of the big 2. Can you really count Fiat as one of the big 3 anymore....NOPE, not american.

$100k pickup trucks are sitting on the lots, and the "little" trucks don't sit on the lots are are being sold over sticker in many places. When 90% of the people that own a pickup would be very happy with a 1980's sized Ranger, S10, or Toyota. But they can't make those anymore....and do you know why....one fucking guess .gov.

So what are people doing, the same thing this guy is doing.

I drive a 2020 raptor..if ford made the ranger with a 4x4 v8 option I’d buy it in a heart beat and never go full size again..same with Chevy! If they made the Colorado with a 4x4 and a 4.8 or 5.3 I’d buy it today

I didn't include that because it wasn't a problem. We had a company owned bulk tank that had a pump with a keyboard that accept round keys for each individual company truck and the hose nozzle was dumb. You held the release lever to get the flow you wanted. Doing away with the mest screen made it just a regular gas can except for the spill problem. I considered it a dumbass design just like everything the government comes up with. You should have seen the safety ladders on the pumpjacks or any equipment that had a ladder the EPA demanded. If you slipped and fell either going up or down you would be seriously shredded upon hitting bottom.

Yeah, but my EV is faster...when charged. :cautious: :cautious::cautious:

Tesla isn’t really having any problems and they haven’t had any government money in a very long time. So I would say that it’s likely the start of government tax credits help them out, but it isn’t the reason for their continued success.

At 242 problems reported per 100 vehicles, Tesla misses the industry average of 186 by a fair margin. Bottom of the scale is Range Rover at 273.

I meant in the capacity of selling cars perspective….

They are selling them left and right and nobody’s getting money back from the federal government… At least until this year with the far left passing whatever bullshit they did to give low income people the the potential to get money back in tax credits.

Don’t forget: Tesla, or allows you to report a problem with a vehicle from the vehicle itself. I suspect that they are a victim of their own success, along with their fuck ups, when it comes to dealing with service calls.

No doubt about it, Tesla is not BMW when it comes to producing their vehicles, or when it comes to service. It’s a real shit show when it Comes to contacting service and Tesla.

BMW barely beat the average. Even Chevy beats them.
