Interesting side note. The human digestive system does a really good job of digesting corn. All except for that tough exterior skin (pericarp). If you ever see “corn kernels” in poop, what you are actually seeing is the pericarp which has been filled with poop by your digestive system as it all moves along. I suppose there is symbolism in that as well…

That is a Hurst Ram inline shifter for a four speed. Was very popular with the street racing crowd due to its reverse lock out. It probably came out of a big block chevelle.
