Weather has been strange , at my AO we had 70 mph winds , lots of downed trees everywhere.

The Pitts biplanes are great aircraft. My Dad used to keep his Cub at a grass strip near Miami when I was a kid. Several Pitts there. It was like a daily airshow watching those guys.
The ad definitely works. Now I want that watch and I've never heard of them before.

That has to be AI, odds of capturing that shot are probably higher than the lottery.
I hear the trick is to take a video and screenshot when the lightning hits. Not sure this is the case in this picture or not ??

With actual high speed cameras there is a rolling couple of secondish buffer that you trigger the end.
A case of hydraulic fluid looks like a human going out the chute of a big Oshkosh.
Not that I would know anything about that.
Could be a continuous capture camera. It basically takes high frame-rate images constantly. They pass through a buffer and if the camera detects a lightning strike in it's view it saves those frames to permanent memory.

There are actually new Devices called lightning triggers For digital cameras that are designed to capture lightning. They will fire the shutter faster than a human can and apparently sense some of the precursor energy to a lightning strike.

I believe thats the case here. The caption said she just happened to catch it as it hit. One hit a tree in my back yard. When I cut it down the entire center was burnt out.
