You think we got time for Starbucks?A law degree.![]()
I don't really think we have time for a handjobYou think we got time for Starbucks?
Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I’m not a scientist, but does that mean it has less preservative chemicals?Do not buy the produce there it rots really fast for some reason.
This/These. Absolutely. You can't come close to making them for what Costco charges.Supposedly.... rotisserie chicken. And a hotdog ($1.50).
Cigars, so much cheaper than anywhere else.
As others have mentioned, brisket, pork butts, etc. We are two hours from our nearest Costco, my wife takes a cooler and stocks up.
By the pallet ?Toilet paper and eggs.
I dropped my membership. It was worthless.
Car batteries and tires.
That was awesome until some mismanager made the decision to axe the polish dogs.Supposedly.... rotisserie chicken. And a hotdog ($1.50).
What’s a Costco?
Sincerely,
Wyoming
Maybe it’s regional. They’re by far the cheapest in my area. Why?
My local Costco must suck, because they have about 3 options for tires and batteries are far more expensive than my local O'Reilly's.
A plus on appliances- just like you we’ve found deals better then Lowe’s or Home Depot even with my contractor or veterans discount. Even delivers we saved $230-250 on wash machine and like $200-$220 on a fridge/ freezer combo.Gas
And generally higher end stuff is relatively inexpensive. We found a washing machine for about $230 less than Home Despotism
We like the yellow-bag coffee too
If you find you are regularly buying stuff there, get their Citi credit card (and pay the balance monthly) as the points add up fast and you can more than pay for the membership
The more you know !I have a Costco in my AO and I do use it for certain things. Mostly for things like Kitchen supplies (Chinet plates, plastic silverware, etc.) that aren't perishable and I can buy in bulk. I also buy large "gallon jug" six packs of drinking water. I may get some food items (turkey breasts) which I can then cut with my electric slicer. Whenever I can afford it, I'll get a whole beef tenderloin so I can trim it and cut it into medallions and freeze them. On occasion, the large plastic canister of Parmesan Cheese. And, of course, various paper products (Paper towel and toilet paper bails) and cotton discs for after shaving (the ones I can't shove down my toilets, anymore)I don't buy electronics there anymore, although I will shop around and compare them. I'll then buy it on Amazon. I've had trouble with their large TVs. I've had to have warranty service on them where the company actually had to replace them. I will buy fuel from the gas station there if I need it for a rental car, etc.
Just a bit of history. "Costco" is more a west coast thing, with HQ of course in the Kirkland Wash, area. On the east coast, there was a competitor to Costco called "Price Club." Originally, you had to have some kind of Union membership or similar thing (Teacher, Fire, EMS, etc.), to get a Price Club membership. Thankfully, my employer at the time was able to secure memberships for us if we had no such affiliation. So, I got in. Price Club worked the same as Costco. Exactly the same. Later on, I think they opened the membership to the "general public" to get more members. FInally, Costco Wholesale bought them out and gobbled up the Price Club brand. The rest is History.
