I Seldom visit the AAC website... here's why.

I saw this in their blog... which they must be proud of since they are showcasing it. Is this a silencer company or a head shop?

Have they moved shop to San Francisco?

Re: AAC Freakshow..

Now that is funny!!! Good stuff!

Re: AAC Freakshow..

I don't think what they look like dictates how the make cans....who cares.....I want a shirt though!

Re: AAC Freakshow..

after shooting a SCAR-17 with one of their suppressors this last week i dont care what they wear, but i do want some of their suppressors.

Thats cause I do believe he is one of the Junk Armament company's owners.

Re: AAC Freakshow..

I thought those pink shirts had something to do with the breast cancer awareness stuff going around at the show. Same kind of idea that NFL lineman had pink cleats on last season and a company that CKA visited had some pink hats or something.

Re: AAC Freakshow..

I've seen other videos they've put out before and they do come across as being abit unprofessional. If I remember correctly they had a video with a nasty tatted/pierced out chick too. That being said it has nothing to do with their products and I would still buy their stuff even if I think they are freaks.

Re: AAC Freakshow..

AAC rocks, and besides making kick ass cans, they've accomplished what no other suppressor maker has, and that is awesome brand recognition. They are like the Coco Cola of suppressors. Most other makers ridicule their logos, their marketing, even their performance claims. And that's their opinion. But, you can't argue they've garnered a following, established themselves as a major player, and have had a very successful business model, which is pretty hard in this industry.

I own a few cans, and I've never heard of Griffen Armament suppressors before seeing the OP.

BTW, I wear a light pink oxford once in an while... That makes me gay? Or uncool?

Re: AAC Freakshow..

+1 on not giving a flying F--- what they are wearing! Really, I could care less as long as they keep building me top notch products!!

To the OP...it is one thing to poke a little fun once in a while (hot pink shirts certainly add fuel to the funny fire
wink.gif
), but please take your ulterior motives for his post and shove them.

Re: AAC Freakshow..

Never really understand the problem with wearing pink.....as long as your neck tie or boxers are accesorised.

Am living for the day that AAC appoint a UK distiributor....Mike Mers...ARE YOU LISTENING???
wink.gif

OP - Some people obviously aren't secure in their sexuality????

Re: AAC Freakshow..

This is funny, almost.

So the guys from AAC like to have some fun, maybe support a cause, maybe have a sense of humor? Great, I think it is awesome. I like people who enjoy life and have fun versus acting like some of the prissy, bitchy, stuck up assholes.

Just my .02

Re: AAC Freakshow..

I dont why everyone is saying I have alternate motives... just because i think its laughable and unprofessional the way they market themselves.

I suppose i shouldn't have to say so, but we live in a free country so im allowed my opinion and all you are allowed yours.

I have many ranger buddies and i dont think anyone of them would be caught dead in a pink shirt... not saying hes not a cool guy, i just wouldnt wanna make myself a laughing stock.

If the shirts are for breast cancer awareness then i take back my statements but i dont think im jumping the gun here since neither their blog nor their for sale page mentions nothing of breast cancer awareness. And AAC has a history of capitalizing on charity fund rasing (wounded warrior comes to mind) so im sure if this was for breast cancer it would have been completely whored out. In addition the recent maxim party displays the lack of respect toward women, so i doubt their aim was advancing the cause of women. But think what you will.

Finally, yes i have to admit they are the number one prominent brand name in silencers today. But with a Social marketing scheme they market and the following they represent i dont know if thats something to brag about.

On another note though, the pink shirts may have something to do with their new military marketing campaign and the possible repeal of the don't ask don't tell policy. Who knows.

Its funny to see how people get butt hurt over a simple comment to a ridiculous picture.

Hmmm......do I detect certain issues???? Would be interested to know your perspective on other pastel shades.... or purples/lilacs...or shirts for men with flowers on.....

Do you let your wife choose the wallpaper at home (I assume you <span style="text-decoration: underline">do</span> have a wife/partner/girlfriend and don't just hold open house to big, well-muscled rough men??) or is it 100% OD and camo carpets with matching drapes?

As long as they don't try to throw you over the counter and ass-rape you when you visit the booth who cares on their orientation (or maybe you are upset because they didn't?)

Marketing is 99% bullshit. Get over it!

Judge them by the product!

Having spent 25 years in sales...one thing holds true:

The assholes who revert to "negative selling" rival products only do so because they have fuck all good to say about their own!!

Don't ask don't tell? Really? Now you are accusing them of being homosexual? Would it be fair if I started a thread titled "Griffin Armament Bigotry"

I have spoke with the AAC crew at Shot Show the last couple of years. They seem like a nice knowledgeable group of people with a strong following. You are correct, you are entitled to your opinion but it still makes you sound like a bigot with an agenda. So keep exercising your "free speech" and see how it affects sales for Griffin Armament.

Pink = Breast Cancer Awareness . . .

The broad from the tattoo parlor up the street, you'd a thought she was the Queen of Sheva, of course it is Georgia, so maybe "Best thing since canned beer." Either way she's a bitch who is definitely full of herself. Love their cans though.

Its called Marketing and Competitive Differentiators. They are the number one prominent brand name because they make a good product, have good customer service, and stand out in public view. Really it just seems they are trying to accomplish the ultimate goal of a business, which is making money.

I find it very comical how the politically correct leftist gun hating commies that have ruined our country have had the craftiness to brainwash the current Gun community.

The Republican of today was yesterdays Democrat; and the patriot of yesterday is today's politically correct spineless liberal.

I'm removing myself from this topic.

Do I ask what they're wearing or how many new tattoos they have? Do I care how long the mutton chops are? Do they make a great product that enhances my ability to deliver a complete kick-ass rifle system? Will I ever call Griffin Armament and order anything? Answers should be pretty clear....

Mike is a good Dude and everyone I've dealt with at AAC has been top notch....

An Army of Officers Nco's and Enlisted it most certainly is not when an admiral and the President push Homosexuals and women into combat units. Enlisted soldiers in combat units have no representation in that situation.

I think the comment about what it does to my business is laughable. I don't care enough about sales to whore myself out and suppress my brother's free speach. He fought for that and if any American, he should be entitled to it whether I agree with it or not.

If the community requires gun industry companies to whore out their identities, opinions, and sensibilities for sales, the community can send their business somewhere else. I'm not anyone's whore, and I've made it clear, I don't own a business because I like to be manipulated like a marionette.

I know a few Rangers and I couldn't see any of them wearing a pink shirt to the SHOT show (a predominantly male trade show). It's an act that should offend a Ranger's sensibilities. If they work for AAC, I'd expect AAC put them up to it, and that's abusive and disrespectful of their backgrounds in my humble opinion.

I find some irony in the fact that in our current military/political situation, here is a woman and two men and the gender roles with respect to the colors of their clothing are reversed at a predominantly male event.

As far as the never ending allegations of racism, I am once again in Iraq helping to facilitate the reconstruction of Iraq. (going on nearly 5 invested years of my life now). If an Iraqi has a problem with me, he can certainly try to kill me any day of the week. On the current trip my friends have been engaged by sniper fire while working with me, and I also have a recent bullet lodged in my ceiling as evidence that intentional or not, this region of the world has an elevated threat level. Terrorism can end a life here just as easily as a display of post soccer game celebratory fire. As far as myself, I will conduct myself with professionalism in so far as I interact with the local Arabs, and I will do everything in my power to help them as I conduct my daily work here. I also appreciate their hospitality with regard to my presence in their country which is what the fact is in today's world. We took their country- we also gave it back, more free than before, and FREE OF CHARGE, despite massive investment of our human and financial capital.

I also am out. I just found myself compelled to post as I'm a little shocked to see people fabricating a breast cancer awareness excuse, defending Rangers wearing pink shirts at gun events, and attacking free speech.

Re: AAC Freakshow..

Great to see the Griffin Armament marketing machine working flat out to such great effect!

- Front to Arabs fiasco FAIL!
- AAC Pink Shirt slur FAIL!
- Two employees tell Forum members to f*ck off and flounce out taking their toys home with them FAIL!

A true example to any business on how NOT to do it!

Way to go Griffin!!!

Re: AAC Freakshow..

What is it about pink that angers people? Why the hell should anyone be offended by anyone wearing that color? If you're saying it is because it is associated with homosexuality then they need to broaden their minds. We're fighting for people in other countries to live in a society that doesn't dictate how they should live their lives, giving them the freedom to choose how they think and live. How does that not apply here, then?

Nothing like some early morning drama. Larry Flynt said pink is a man's color a LONG time ago. If you don't know why, maybe you're the homosexual? <Seinfeld> Not that there's anything wrong with that!

Its called Business 101. Another good class is Marketing 101.
Business
Marketing

These should be available at your local JUCO, Community College, and all major universities. You are obviously not in tune with your customer base. I suggest taking Marketing first. There are also consulting firms that will take your money and basically tell you what everyone else has said here.
