Hi all. I'm relatively new to shooting at all, and now that tax time is here, I'm acting on the itch I've been having to get into LR and reloading. Been creeping in different places, but by far the hide is one of the best sources of info I've come across on or off the net.

I really wanted to ask a question after I registered, any question, but I have yet to think of anything that hasn't been covered by stickies or the search box. I've learned so much in the past couple weeks I think you guys are gonna make my brain melt. I can't leave this place.

I really, really wanted to post something worthwhile, but you guys leave me nothing. Maybe I'll have some SPR pr0n in a week or two. In the meantime, hi.

Welcomed to have you, as you are a rare breed among the n00bs. Keep up the reading/learning, and you will be well off, in the basics.

A lot of FNGs ask common questions, much to the chagrin of others simply because stickies exist, or the search function will give you 90% of what you're looking for. The fact that you've been able to overcome that hurdle without ill effects speaks well of you.

You'll start having questions when you get into designing a build, choosing a smith, setting up your gear, adjusting your shooting techniques, and reloading. While the Hide taps into a vast breadth of knowledge across the shooting and non-shooting spectrum, there's a DEPTH of knowledge that will help you and save you from making bad purchases in the future. It's really amazing how you can ask some of the most nuanced, obscure questions about a topic and you'll get thorough answers. That's probably my favorite aspect of this site.

Yeah but he said he is just getting into reloading and long range. He will post in the reloading section soon enough and his first question will be, "How do I find the lands?" "Where are the lands?" "What are lands and do I have them?" And then when he gets a comparator he will be giving the next crop of newbs advice like he is an old hand.
