Has anybody been down that road.......My rifle is a %$$#^^ &&*(%. Probably cost them like 3k and then they spend 1500 on a scope and if you dont have what they have..... they don't have the time of day for u..... and then they rag u ......just because your rifle cost 600 bucks and you bought a scope for 200 bucks at the LGS.....I don't know about yall.....but i know my rifle will stick a round in ur A$$ at 500 yd.....anyway thanks I just needed to vent a Little......they will probably rag about me saying my peace...... but u know what........who care's.......

It all comes down to how well the rifle and shooter perform together. The rifle wont shoot itself.

That said, take the same operator and put him behind a cheap rifle and then a top of the line rifle...... you get the idea.

But there is no reason to be a snob to someone because of what they can or can't afford. Often those guys who lack tact often lack skill.

Watch who you tease about thier equipment. My rig is what I consider to be mid range. $850 for the gun, $425 for the stock, and $1500 for the scope (used). I'm sure there are plenty of people that can out shoot me with a stock 700 SPS and a Nikon Buck Master.

I'm a big dude, but you won't see me pick a fight. There a dudes of all sizes that are not to be trifled with, just watch the UFC sometime.

Get better with your budget rifle than anybody else and then take it to a match and see how many guys you can beat with their big budget rigs. A good friend goes to matches with a middle of the road AR and black box Wolf and will beat about half the field of which many pull their handloads out of coolers and shoot their multi thousand dollar weapon systems.

Spend money on optics & ammo. Lots of good shooting rifles in budget range.

A buddy of mine had a montgomery wards brand rifle and it was a shooter. Not going to win cool points like the safe queens.

Don't make me get my Savage. I mean GAP. It's the driver for the most part. In the military our rifles were O.K. but the ammo sucked. We got er dun just the same.

Really? you ask a silly question and cant recognize it when people make light of it? I deeply apologize for having offended your sensibilities.

Who cares what other people say about your gun, I've out shot rifles that cost 3 times what mine does somedays, other days, I suck. So as mentioned just let the steel ring, and targets will say whats best.

LOL is that a Rem 770 long action im just asking. i have one in 300 WM, but its no nail driver out of the box, I use it to scare the shit out of people, its very good for scope kissing the "snipers" at the range, now if you sand it down and bed the action with some devcon and re-work it it gets alot better, but were not talking about a sub-moa gun were talking about a got box stick and that's good >than 500 yards. I just asking and that scope, that's got to be a fine 3x9 Remington 40mm 1" tube. its a very fine box gun for sure. but card spliter, ??? but my eyes are getting to be good as my spelling so i might be wrong only God knows.

Its not the rifle its the shooter always has been and always will be. there are plenty of gun "experts" on this site that would get their ass handed to em by a old man on a 30-06 with a weaver scope as they shoot their 4k dollar custom topped with a 3k dollar scope. I don't dog on anyone as long as they take the sport seriously and don't try to be something they are not... like a sniper
