has anyone ever done it? i have a 4500 yellow, that i got for a very good price but its too bright...I am kinda on the fence on trying it

Krylon fusion works pretty good on plastics. Use an xacto knife and some painters tape you should be gtg. Don't use anything too harsh to clean it a good glass cleaner should well.

Shit....the way I loose stuff I would keep it yeller!
Then again...I loose brass and it's yellow'ish.
Maybe if I paint my brass camo it would be easier to find.
To the OP. Krylon Fusion works well on a lot of stuff. You will eventually have to repaint it, but that is the nature of the game.

I realize that the OP is probably not a professional sniper, but unpainted black scope caps have busted students on a stalk. You would be amazed at the stuff a trained observer can see.

You have a point, LW, but I'm not even going to paint my rifle, much less my scope.
I know immitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but I don't think I'm going to be deployed anytime soon.
Just wanting to shoot long range, not be a weekend "sniper". An oject the size on one's hand may be an issue with pronghorns, but not with anything I'm shooting.
But if you do paint your stuff, make sure it all matches because if you don't the camouflage police will confiscate your goodies.

No worries. Usually my non-work stuff stays unpainted until I have a reason to do so. When I do have a reason I am not bashful about breaking out the krylon. I have no idea how the AE has dodged the spray can for so long. If the skins and scope weren't FDE it would have gotten spray bombed long ago.
