Rifle Scopes Scope Recommendations

Hey everyone. I am new to precision shooting but not new to firearms. I recently picked up a Remington 700 SPS Varmint in .308 and a B&C Medalist stock.

My question is regarding what scope to buy in the $700 range? Scopes are very new to me but here is some criteria that I have included after researching these forums.

-Will be shooting between 100-500 yards. I do have a 1000 yard range close but probably won't try that kind of shooting for a while.
-FFP
-mil/mil
-Does not need to be illuminated

Also, would love to hear recommendations on mounts. If there is anything I am missing please let me know. Like I said, this is new territory for me and I have never shopped for a scope before. All my shooting has been done with irons or EOTechs/Aimpoints.

Thanks,

Eric

Re: Scope Recommendations

If you're willing to sacrifice the FFP for SFP you can get a 6-24 vortex PST for about that price. Love mine and was hitting at 835 yards today with no problems in optics or adjustments.

Re: Scope Recommendations

I second the Super Sniper recommendation as well...but the Viper is also a nice option. I've been happy with every NightForce base and ring set that I've ever purchased...can't go wrong there either.

Re: Scope Recommendations

It's hard to stay ffp on your budget? You can get a whole lot more scope if you can go sfp? I to would suggest the Vortex PST. You get a lot of features, good clear glass and a warranty that is the best in the industry. They will fix or replace any problem except loss or theft. No questions asked?

Re: Scope Recommendations

The weaver tactical 3-15 is FFP mil/mil and is in your budget. Do a search and read some reviews for yourself.
