Most people would normally keep their suppressors in a gun safe, which is what I do but I am curious how do you store them in your safe? I am looking to put Velcro on my supressor pouches and stick them to the door on my safe. Does anyone know where I can find something similar? Or what would you recommend to keep them in the safe. I don't like just putting them in a corner or on a shelf.

Re: Where do you keep your suppressors?

Knife Cases...
Cans, Scopes, Contender Barrels.
All sorts of stuff.

Re: Where do you keep your suppressors?

I take the can covers off...
Stick the can cover around the sling or bipod leg....
Oil the can and leave it on the rifle which goes in the safe.

Re: Where do you keep your suppressors?

i would rather not leave them on the guns. i use the same suppressor for several guns. I do not have door pouches on my safe and i was trying to find some pouches that can velco onto the door

Re: Where do you keep your suppressors?

I have the rubber covered wire handgun holders that sit on the shelf. I lay the cans in them with the can covers on the top shelf.

Re: Where do you keep your suppressors?

In my vault.. Mine came with a cool MOLLE case. Not that it does any good at all just kinda looks neato.

Re: Where do you keep your suppressors?

HAHAHAHA!!!

Re: Where do you keep your suppressors?

its actually a good idea to oil threads on a muzzle/ suppressor ID thread for extended storage.

I have noticed if you dont copper fouling will turn green with corrosion with time.

Its fine to leave the can on the gun... just lube the threads for long term storage.

When you fire a round through the can, one of the byproducts is moisture. Don't take the can off and oil it, and your crown and first inch or so of the barrel will pit with rust over time.

Gander Mountain carries door pouch sets. I'm sure the other big box sporting goods stores carry them as well.

LMAO

Re: Where do you keep your suppressors?

I actually just did this with my cyclone. Bought some industrial velcro with sticky back at walmart and stuck one side on pouch and one side on safe door. I bought the 2" wide 5' long type that you can cut to any length and it is some tough stuff. Worked great! I also have a door organizer, but all the pouches are full of knives.

I was thinking i might just do that for convenience. How well does the velcro hold?

Re: Where do you keep your suppressors?

Holds very well! The stuff I got is Velcro Brand Industrial Strength 5' x 2" black tape. I found it in the sewing section at Walmart. I used 2 pieces cut to about 2.5" in length, one toward the top one toward the bottom. I can drop the suppressor in the pouch and it doesn't budge I have no fear of it falling the hold is solid! I actually bought it to hold the sides of my door organizer as they were trying to fold in. Thought i would use it on the silencer pouch to keep it off my top shelf as I was trying to organize my safe.

Re: Where do you keep your suppressors?

That sounds good to me. i will have to pick some up this afternoon. I am trying to do the same thing. Im trying to organize the safe a little better. Thanks for the input.

Re: Where do you keep your suppressors?

Usually attached to one of the firearms they go to.

It's one of the bad things about being lazy and liking silencers. You want one for everything so you don't have to worry about swapping them about.

Re: Where do you keep your suppressors?

I'm a little late to this thread but there's a product I like so much I feel it is worth mentioning.

I use a suppressor cozy from SKT industries. The great thing about it is that the back side has a pouch where you can keep copies of your Form 4 paperwork. The paperwork is never separate from the cans. This eliminates my worry about forgetting to bring the paperwork along or having to spend time finding it.

If you are in Washington State, he usually has a table at the Puyallup WAC shows.

Re: Where do you keep your suppressors?

Oh that's cool, well better late then ever. That's a pretty good idea. I might have to get that. Is there room on the back where you can put a Velcro patch so I can mount it on to my safe door?

Re: Where do you keep your suppressors?

Facing the enemy or down range at all times,
I know that is my smart ass side. HA

Re: Where do you keep your suppressors?

In the closet somewhere, usually on a rifle.

Huskey said the same thing, so I've always removed mine. If I want to leave it on the rifle, I take it off for a while to make sure any gasses have dispersed from the can before putting it back on. The theory doesn't make sense to me, though- the barrel and can should stay too warm to allow condensation long after the moisture-bearing gasses have drifted away. I'm interested to see so many people not removing their cans, with apparently no ill effects.

There is a ton of room on the back.

Scott makes these himself and he does custom work, so you could always contact him to order one with a velcro back.

LMFAO hahaha!

Re: Where do you keep your suppressors?

inside the toilet tank so they are always wet and ready to go!

Re: Where do you keep your suppressors?

I would keep them on my rifles but I use my suppressors for multiple guns and that would be too much work having to swap them out each time. Oh well I guess I need to get one for each of my guns then!

Well then, I will have to get in contact with Scott and get a custom order. Thanks Bedlam.
