Photos BOBRO 30mm Mount

Re: BOBRO 30mm Mount

Looking forward to your thoughts on the SS. Do you think it is comparable to the F1 you got in?

No. Nor would I expect it to. They are a different class of scope and it would be unfair to compare the SS to a F1 or Razor.

It is quite good and I had no problems zeroing it by measuring offset with the reticle and dialing adjustment. I do like the scope and so far I feel it's a good value. I need to get more trigger time on it, run the tracking test and the dunk and freeze.

Re: BOBRO 30mm Mount

Sorry what my question should have said was, if you purchased a SS and decided to upgrade, would you purchase an F1 or save up for something like a USO or Premier?

Re: BOBRO 30mm Mount

That is almost an unanswerable question.

You may purchase an SS and decide that it's all you ever need. You may get behind an F1 and not see why anyone would want anything else. You may decide you want to order a USO because you can get it your way. I don't have much experience with Premiere, so I can't really comment on them.

Re: BOBRO 30mm Mount

Thanks. Sorry I am kinda new to tactical shooting. I really wish there was some place to go and look through a good number of scopes. Guess I will have to try to sneak into Shot next year to get them all in one place.

I have only looked through a few leupolds, one acog, and SS. I got a felling this hobby is going to burn some cash.

Forgot to add: Look forward to the RTZ test. Got distracted by the photo in the photography section and didn't realize the thread is about the SS and Bobro.

Nice gun and mount picture. Its artistic. Puts me in the mind of Walden's Pond.

Scope looks a bit high to the barrel but I've become far less convinced about that issue especially shooting suppressed where it may even be to the good.

Re: BOBRO 30mm Mount

I'm also interested in the RT0 with your Bobro and in your experience moving it from one gun to another. I understand the normal variations caliber to caliber but with a good 100 yard zero, that initial first shot should be pretty close (ie 308 & 223 swaps). My 5x20ss/Bobro seems to go back to about 1/2 moa or better but for whatever reason takes a shot or two for it (or me) to settle in. The 5x20ss has proven to be a good value. It ain't no S&B but it ain't $3000.00 either. The glass is fine but I don't like the focus - mine is stiff and inconveniently located. The illumination works fine but will blur on high, however I've shot plenty in the dark on low with fine precision. Also the windage and elevation clicks are slightly mushy compared to my NF. Tracking is spot on and with several shooting days in the rain and fog and thousands of rounds down the pipe, it hasn't leaked. As far as scope height, higher mounts actually lower the vertical error when using the same point of aim..handy for hunting unknown distances.

Re: BOBRO 30mm Mount

The AI stocks are bad ass, sucks I got long ass fingures and they don't fit me. Great pics!

Sweet setup there! Good photography as well...
