I have been using Hornady match brass for some time and have had experience with Lapua. I shot 308 for years and used once fired Hornady match brass from TAP ammo for years. It was very close in quality.
I went to a 6.5 Creedmoor about 6 months ago. The brass I have seems to be great. I have 3 loadings on my brass. It is very consistent. Just my .02
Thanks <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: froggy2229</div><div class="ubbcode-body">I have been using Hornady match brass for some time and have had experience with Lapua. The bad things you've heard were from their first batches of brass... They have really improved since then. While it is still hard to find, just pick up some factory ammo and shoot those for your brass!
Oh lol thats nice to know thanks. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: StanwoodSpartan</div><div class="ubbcode-body">The bad things you've heard were from their first batches of brass... No need to buy loaded ammo in order to accumulate brass. You can buy it from lots of sources.
If you like to push the velocity envelope and are loading hot loads then you will stretch the primer pockets on the Hornady Creedmoor brass. I load to factory specs and have 5 loadings on one set of brass and all is well. I'm hoping to get 10 firings out of my Hornady brass. Maybe more? We'll see.
As far as the dimensional qualities of the Hornady brass goes, I am overly impressed. It is very nice stuff.
thanks for the info let me know how many loadings you get. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: Trental</div><div class="ubbcode-body">No need to buy loaded ammo in order to accumulate brass. You can buy it from lots of sources.

No issues after reloading 5 times by neck sizing only. Used H4350 to drive the 123 Scenar at 2,900 in a GAP 6.5 CRD. Availability has not been an issue for me through Powder Valley. Good shooting!
I've got five firings on my Creedmore brass. Just primed the cases and the pockets are still nice and snug using BR2 primers. This is using 41.5gr H4350 and 140 Amax's. I full length size every time using Hornady dies and I also anneal after each firing.
