I'm being stationed at MCAS Yuma in two months and I was looking for a place to shoot and if there are any matches out that way. Also, can you just head off in the desert and shoot? I've heard that it's sort of like a "no mans land" in some places out there...anyone have any insight? thanks.

Re: Places to shoot and compete in AZ

I do a fair amount of shooting at the Phoenix Rod and Gun Club. AZ LRPRS holds a monthly tactical precision match there that I highly recommend. You can get more details at www.lrprs.com

I also recommend you check out www.azprc.net, Brad puts on a fun match in Ashfork, AZ. I haven't shot at the new location but I did enjoy myself the few times I made it out to Prescott, AZ.

Desert shooting is usually fine, just make sure it's public land.

I'm trying to post matches that are near Flagstaff at www.flagstafshooters.com

also check out lrprs.com and azprc.net for matches. There is also a monthly match in Vegas as well, check out the competition threads here on the hide for details on that one I'm not sure of their website address.

Re: Places to shoot and compete in AZ

target shooting on state trust land is prohibited, so be careful.

Come join us for some fun the third saturday of every month in phoenix. www.lrprs.com

azprc is up north and has some good courses of fire plus some good long shots.
