Just got this one in from Jon Beanland last week. Still working up a load but I can tell its a hammer like my other Beanland rifle. I did have a couple less then 1/2 MOA 5 shot groups (around 0.35 MOA)today at the range while working up a load and getting used to the Manners T3 stock.

    Build Sheet:

Stiller Tac 30 Action with AW mag cut

Obermeyer 5R .264 barrel 20" 1:8.4 Twist. Fluted by Kampfeld. Barrel is also threaded by Jon.

Seekins bottom metal (uses AI mags)

Manners T3 stock with GAP camo finish. Atlas rail.

Tuned 2# old style Remington trigger

    Stiller 20MOA rail

    APA bolt knob

    Coated in black Cerakote

Premier 3.5-15x 50mm scope is temporary for now. Want to get something lighter like the Premier hunter or light tactical scope.

    Here are some pics:

Very nice. I'll be sending him parts for almost the same as you have there in a few months. Interested in your velocitys with the 20" barrel. That's one thing I'm still debating on my build.

Who sells the Stiller action in Australia? And if you dont mind telling me, how much was it? PM is fine. thanks

    Oh and sweet rifle.

    Very nice rifle.
Nobody builds them any better than Jon.

If you ever decide to sell it, it has to be sold to a okie or you'll be cursed by the rifle gods.

Jon is currently building me a 7mm Mag hunting rifle - I enjoy seeing pics of his rifles also!!!

Yup, Jon is good to go - I spoke with him last week and will be sending him parts shortly for another 7mm08 build.
Nice guy & builds fantastic rifles!!

To the OP - that is a fine looking rig - congrats to you!

    Very Nice, looks great.
I've just started the process by having a surgeon 591 action sent to Jon. I know it wil be an impressive addition to the collection. Now the wait begins.

Re: New Beanland 6.5x47 lapua rifle

It is definitely worth the wait. Jon is a pleasure to do business with and an outstanding riflesmith.

What is the average lead time for a Beanland build if the customer supplies all the parts?

    </div></div>

Per my call to Jon last week he is running about 3 months out if you send him the parts.

Re: New Beanland 6.5x47 lapua rifle

I guess after a few months of lurking I can break my posting cherry. This rifle is about as close to what I consider a perfect all-around setup as I've seen on here. The caliber, stock, barrel dimensions... it's all fantastic. I would love a rifle like this for deer, groundhogs, steel, and long-range sporting clays.

    Well done.
