Thinking about a monopod to put on my 110BA. Anyone useing these? If so how do you think they work vs rear sand bag or just your other hand as I do. Anyway If anyone is having good luck out of one that moves up and down easy and has good locking feture, let me know witch one you like the best. Thanks

Re: Monopod? recomendation

I use them on my AICS style stocks. I switched back and forth between the monopod and a Tab bag for about two years until I just recently learned that I was not taking full advantage of the monopod. If you activate the detent on the base swivel and hold it in your support hand you can quickly make accurate adjustments just by rotating your support hand... rotate away to raise the crosshairs; rotate toward you to lower the crosshairs. It works everywhere... even in sand and mud. I still carry my Tab bag everywhere in case of a barricade support need for the front of the gun but the monopod with this technique has worked everywhere for me. Look up LoneWolfUSMC's video... that's where I saw this technique for the first time.

Re: Monopod? recomendation

I'm not big on monopods personally but the hands down, nicest and most functional one that I've used (and I've used a number) is the one that Ashbury Precision Ordnance makes. Head and shoulders above the others. The price is more expensive too, but you get what you pay for.

Re: Monopod? recomendation

Ended up getting a accu shot. Got the BT04 QK 3.75" - 4.85" with the steel base cap. Ya whiskywebb you are correct on the techniech. If you look onaccu-shot's website they have a bunch of techniechs/ideas on how to use it in differant situations. seems to be what Im wanting to keep from packing a bag around. Im not sure yet b/c I havn't used it yet but im supprized it doesnt have flat plate attachment for loose soil or gravle areas. Thanks for the help guys.

Accushot is what I use, put it on the atlas 3.35" rail using 10/32 screws.
