Re: H-S Precision Stock.PST007 (m24) Anyone used one?

For what ever it is worth? I took the plunge yesterday and ordered the Bell & Carlson Medalist yesterday, after reading the thread "My first Remington build" now on page 3. I had been on the fence not being able to make up my mind between the HS or B&C? That thread pushed me over??

Cool let me know how you like the B&C. I was looking for something adjustable.

Will do. I asked on the hide today if anyone thought that it needed to be bedded? Two answers came back no, that cause of the stock they were shooting about .5. I'm real excited to see and will let you know the outcome?

Re: H-S Precision Stock.PST007 (m24) Anyone used one?

Which model B&C did you get. I've used a number of both the B&C and HS Precision.

I tend to prefer to skim bed the action and recoil lug, just to give it more stability. I've run across a few that were a few thou out of true, which could have induced flex to the action. Bedding eliminated those concerns

Re: H-S Precision Stock.PST007 (m24) Anyone used one?

It is their #2094. It is the adjustable lop and check piece model.
I thought I would drop my action in and take it from there? I had my local smith bed and float the factory stock, but had problems being able to put a good group with it? It will shoot a few under moa and then pull one? At first I thought it was me? But I have a really trick 10/22 and a 17 hmr and I don't do it on them?
I'm really hoping for the best now?

I have that stock on my 700 SPS Tactical. I like it a lot. It allows me or my wife to shoot the same rifle. Tat being said this thing is very heavy.

Re: H-S Precision Stock.PST007 (m24) Anyone used one?

I run the same stock on my SPS-T except without the adjustable cheek piece. The adjustable LOP made it easy to tune in the fitment. It’s a great stock I don’t have any buyer's remorse

Re: H-S Precision Stock.PST007 (m24) Anyone used one?

I'd love to have one of these stocks in short action.
I got two HS Precision stocks taken off 2 Remy 700 Police rifles to trade.

These things are sure hard to find.

Doesn't the 5R come from the factory with an HS Precision stock? (PST012 for short action).

If so, I believe the PST007 is the same design except for the adjustable cheek and length of pull.

Re: H-S Precision Stock.PST007 (m24) Anyone used one?

The 5R does come with an HS stock , but the PST006 and PST007 are the style stock many guys use to make an M24 clone with.
The PST006 is the adj LOP, and the PST007 is the adj. LOP and cheek. The military uses the PST006. The PST007 is really more of a "tacticool" version.
