I have the LoDrag. It's great minus one detail. For some reason they have 2 laptop slots in the main compartment which minimize the interior use a little. The GunSlinger is definitely a larger capacity but also carries the larger price tag. Call Ceylon at Deltaoutdoorsman.com and he can give you all the details and really help you fit your needs. His prices are also hard to beat...

Get the gunslinger
i have the lodrag and wish it was bigger
it is great to carrying a rifle, ammo and basic stuff but if you want to start throwing in food, extra clothes and rain gear it gets real crowded. half the time i end up stuff the rifle scabbard full of jackets and extra clothes for days when it starts out cold and wet and then warms up

The enhancement kit looks interesting, any info? I've thought about putting buckles on those straps as well.

I bought my LoDrag from Ceylon and love it. I primarily use mine for hunting. I find it the perfect size for packing all my items for being out all day. The LoDrag is very comfortable to pack when fully loaded. Eberlestock put a lot of thought into the design and functionality.

Damn Tom, I had my pack in the truck at the PPRS Match.
It was all loaded up with my 300 BLK rifle and other RO gear that I needed.
You could have checked everything out then.
I'm looking forward to seeing how well the X3 works at ASC.
Unfortunately, I don't think I will see most of you guys since I'm going to the sponsor's match the following weekend.

Since folks have asked, here are some more details on the "Eberlestock X3 LoDrag & X4 HiSpeed Enhancement Project", here is a copy of the project overview:

Enhancement Project
What I like about the Eberlestock X3 LoDrag & X4 HiSpeed is how functional they are while still maintaining a minimalist concept.
This inspired me to come up with a modular approach to add function to the pack.
Outlined below are some of the ideas that I have:
- Two medium sized pouches that are custom designed to attach to the odd shape & angled webbing of the
X3 LoDrag & X4 HiSpeed.
Pouches would attach to the strip of PALS webbing at the top of the pack, the PALS webbing on the side of the pack,
and the bottom of the pouch would be inside the side pockets.
Design concepts are to add additional capacity to the pack while maintaining the shape and load bearing characteristics of the pack.
- Reversible MultiCam Pack Cover for the X3 LoDrag & X4 HiSpeed.
Same general shape and fit of the Eberlestock Pack Cover, but will be large enough to accommodate any additional pouches on the pack.
One side will be water proof BETA 70D Nylon FR Coated MultiCam and the other will be EPSILON 40D x 40D Rip-Stop with NANO.
Design concept is to have the ability to water proof the pack with one side and to camouflage the pack with the other.
The camouflage side will have accommodations for garnish / vegetation.
This can be a huge operational advantage if utilized while on patrol.
- Shooting Mat / Optional Drag Plate Module for the X3 LoDrag only.
The mat will stow away in the scabbard storage area when not in use.
When the scabbard is in use, the mat will be secured in the pouch via the existing side release buckle in that location.
When the scabbard is stowed, the scabbard itself will secure the mat in place.
To convert the X3 LoDrag to a Drag Bag configuration, the mat is extended, the shoulder & waist straps are either folded back around the pack or removed.
One end of the mat is connected to the existing side release buckle and wrapped around the bottom side of the pack.
The sides are attached to side release buckles on the compression straps, and then the front end is connected to a custom gun cover that is designed to protect the weapon through the abuses of being dragged.
This mat will be constructed of two layers of 1000D Cordura, strategically placed high density foam, a stiff panel to ensure that it maintains its shape when stowed, and provisions for staking it down when needed.
The gun cover will be of similar design to the Eberlestock one, but will have copious amounts of high density foam to protect the weapon and a section designed to house a sound suppressor.
- Assorted Modules designed to fit into the document slots of the X3 LoDrag & X4 HiSpeed.
These modules will allow this odd shaped space to be efficiently utilized with items that are frequently used and require quick access.
Here is a list of the modules that I have come up with so far:
o Generic Loop Velcro panel that also is PALS compatible
o DOPE Kit panel that is essentially a one stop shop for everything a shooter would need.
§ Clear vinyl pouch for DOPE cards, maps, or score cards.
§ Pen & Rite in the Rain pad storage.
§ DOPE book storage
§ Compass
§ Kestrel Pocket Weather Station
Not only does this allow maximum utilization of this area of the pack, it also allows an organized work area to be taken directly from the pack and laid on the ground instead of having to keep up with individual items.
o Ammunition module
o MRE Module for stripped MRE components
o First Aid Module
o Survival Module
 
Other mods that I have done to my own pack that I feel add significant function:
- Replace ladderlocs on the cinch straps with 1 inch ITW GT Field Expedient Side Release Repair Buckles.
- Add ITW Web Dominators to areas with loose webbing.
(This photo illustrates the use of GT Field Expedient Side Release Repair Buckles as well as Web Dominators.)
(This photo illustrates how much easier it is to access items when the ladderlocs are replaced.)
(This photo illustrates the fit and function of an L8N Tactical Spotting Scope Cover.)
Replace ladderlocs on shoulder harness with ITW Quick Attach Surface Mount Buckles and sew webbing into pull loops for shoulder harness adjustment.
(Alternately, ladder locks can be used to create the loops.)
Replace side release buckle on waste belt with ITW Blast Buckle.
Instead of using the Eberlestock Source hydration system, use the Source Military three liter bladders with quick disconnects.
I fabricated a Y manifold so two bladders will run to one mouth piece & tube.
This will ensure that both bladders stay equal, thus maintaining a good weight distribution and eliminates the requirement and nuisance of having two tubes.
The quick disconnect features will also allow a MSA inline micro filter to be quickly installed if it becomes necessary to use water from a stream.

if you do go with the lo-drag
i would recomend you get some of these and put on the exterior

the lo-drag is nice and compact for sure, but it weights 5lb 5oz while the gunslinger weighs 5lb 12oz
i just found with mine that once you throw in a full hydration bladder, 100 rifle rounds, small assortment of stuff to keep your gun running at a match, some food the pack is just about full.
then once you are half way down narrow back and you start shedding layers, i was running out of room fast, but i dont handle cold weather and require more clothes.
the x3 definatley has its place and i loved it in colorado hunting but if i were buying one just for asc give me a gunslinger
