I've looked all over, but no luck

I primarily want that one for cost:quality ratio

if not, I might get a Core15 lower.

I couldnt find them from my usual sources, i would however ask to be notified from Aimsurplus.com

they typically get replenished every week or two from what i can see. Plus their CS and prices are amazing!

Re: Anyone know of Spike lowers in stock?

Not sure about any in stock, but I ordered one direct from Spike's about 6 weeks ago. They told me expect about 8 weeks, but it was at my dealer in 4 weeks. That's not too bad. I don't know if that's normal, just relating my experience.

Go to AimSurplus and sign up for their email notification. I bought two Spike's lowers last month. Both times they were out of stock but I received emails within a week and snagged a couple at different times. Once the order was placed, immediately after getting the email, they were at my FFL in about one week. Act quick though, they are often sold out again between just a few hours and end of the day after receiving the email.

That can work

what makes these things so high value? I guess it's the pricing and the quality eh?

Re: Anyone know of Spike lowers in stock?

+1 on AIM Surplus; usually have them or will soon and very good prices when they do.

FYI on the the lower itself: Spikes = DPMS = Bushy = LAR ... LAR makes and 'private labels' lowers for all of the above plus others. There are only a handful of actual manufacturers of AR lower receivers. My go lately (last 3 builds) has been Aero Precision, available from Surplus Arms & Ammo. Excellent quality and a great price. Aero is primarily a Boeing subcontractor and actually machines their own lowers.

EDIT: I just checked and the price of the Aero lower has gone from the $79.99 I paid with my last order about two months ago to $94.99 now, so not as good a price as they had been but still not bad for the quality. Makes me wonder: are we starting to see another election year price run-up?

I have that feeling as well...

I also heard very good things about PSA (Palmetto State Armory) as well. They are 75 shipped.

I also just started reading about this poly lower called LW15. It's an interesting concept and for a SBR it can be interesting to keep the weight to minimum. but What I get now will eventually become an SBR and I'd hate to get a poly that eventually stresses out and cracks and there goes a SBR lower =/

still worth checking out maybe, I don't know... 99 bucks for an assembled lower. if it breaks, they'll replace it, and then you keep it as a spare for future or slap a 22 on it
