For my Brother-in-Law's wedding, during the photo shoot, we need some help.

The groomsmen are going to be wearing "ear-wigs" (?) or whateveryoucallthem little clear tubing curly-thingys that all the (uber-cool) Secret-Service dudes and whatnot always wear on TV.

These don't need to work, as they are just a visible prop to which I'll attach one end to an earplug and just tuck the other end into the collar of our tux's.

Any idea what to use for the tubing and/or where to look for it. Also, where can one get it within a week? I've been googling, and am not having much luck finding anything local or even in this country so far. All kinds of 1/4" tubing all over the place, some 1/8", but very little of the 2 or 3 millimeter type stuff. Anywhere that I can find so far.

I'm figuring that by immersing the tubing in boiling water then wrapping it around a pen or so, would give it a coil type 'set' for the effect.

Playing with the idea of some God-Awful black 'oversize' safety-glasses as well.

Any suggestions or other ideas? Anyone here have any of this type tubing?

You might be able to rig something up with the curled plastic lanyards. I've seen them on some fishing pliers as bass pro shops and Walmart.

Got any old vehicle cell phone chargers? You might be able to use the curly cords from those? If you don't want them black grab some white krylon.

You should be able to find small tubing at hardware type stores. Don't know how small, but it can be heated and bent to some degree. Glue one end to a foam ear plug and you should be set.

My kids had a toy phone with a cord that looked like the mic tube and was about the same size. I think I bought it at a dollar store. You might find some pretty sweet glasses there too

Wal-mart or home depot have those curled plastic keychain/wrist things in their key/lock section in the hardware department they come in all colors and look just like what you are needing.

How about a piece of old style telephone cord?

EDIT: SDP's idea is really good. Spray paint can be employed if need be.
