Is their anyone who has purchased a aftermarket replacement barrel for the REPR?

Who made it and are there any other manufactures?

Did it improve accuracy?

Re: LWRC Aftermarket barrels in 308

Nope.

Nobody but LWRC makes LWRC barrels.

What's wrong with the one that came with your REPR?

Re: LWRC Aftermarket barrels in 308

The interference fit of the REPR barrel means it is a factory job to change it. No REPR aftermarket rebarrels floating around, as far as I know.

Re: LWRC Aftermarket barrels in 308

I was going to give the gun another try with the hopes that a aftermarket barrel manufacture might exist and I would be able to bring the groups down from the 1 1/2 - 2" range that LWRC claims is acceptable to them to a group in the 3/4 to 1" range and this is at 100 yards.

Re: LWRC Aftermarket barrels in 308

The rifle is more than capable of that at that range with the right ammo, and the right shooter.

Re: LWRC Aftermarket barrels in 308

Try some more and heavier loads, if you haven't. The factory says 1.5 is acceptable, but most report moa.

Re: LWRC Aftermarket barrels in 308

I know my 5.56 rifles really like a few loads and hate others.

Re: LWRC Aftermarket barrels in 308

I looked for an aftermarket barrel as well, but soon learned the interference fit meant only LWRC could supply the barrel.

Try Federal Gold Medal Match 175's or Black Hills Match 175's. This was the best performing factory ammo in my 20" 1:10 twist REPR. My REPR does shoot in the .75 to 1 MOA range with this ammo. My 1:10 twist barrel does not like the lighter bullets. If you happen to have the 1:11.25 twist barrel you may have luck with the lighter bullets.

Length of barrel? might want to try some different loads.
