My wife's first time to fire a rifle...

I have been trying to get her to go shoot with me and today she agreed. After spending a little time going over the basics at 200 yards she wanted to shoot 500. She had NEVER fired a rifle before today.Here are her results...6 rounds(that's all that was left) 308 remington 700P

This is awesome. Anytime someone wants to try out our sport and see what its about, and has a great time, is a good thing. always nice to hear about a spouse or child taking interest. Anytime family can find something they love doing together is a great thing, and getting more people involved in our sport helps protect our second amendment rights. love it.

Just for info...the middle circle is 2 inches and each ring is one inch so her group was just a tad bigger than 5 inches.
And when we got home she ask when we were going back, and suggested I get busy making "her" some "bullets..." lol

I've attended three day classes where guys were not shooting that good after 300 rounds of practice.

at some point we are going to have to admit that women are better natural shooters...ie beginner vs beginner


That is some great shooting! Exceptional for her first six shots... I should quit

Maybe the newbies just do what they are told, whithout thinking too much.
A mentor told me:
Shoot, don't aim till you grow a new a..hole.

It worked

That sounds great man, mine won't even touch a gun let alone shoot one. I remember a few years ago I finnaly got her to come to the range with me one time, after the first round I fired she went back to the car and sat tell I was done. Lol. Sometimes they just don't get it. Glad yours was a good sport about it.
