Hey Guys & Gals,

I just finished up a rifle that I will have a demo day for the Bushnell Brawl at Rifles Only this week. If you are going to be there be sure to come out and shoot it!

Here are the specs!!!

-Defiance action, AI mag cut, 30 MOA double pinned rail, double pinned recoil lug, M16 extractor, blind side bolt release, heavy rear tang, one piece bolt, bolt lugs are coated in NIC Microslick, Badger tactical bolt knob with TTF shield engraved.

-We used a jewel trigger with this setup.

-Bartlein Straight Taper, 1-11.25" 21" finish, 5R rifling. Cryogenically treated (not by liquid nitrogen flash cooling, by slow, dry cooling with propritary thermal cycling). Thread protector is finished with a seamless fit to the barrel.

-McMillan A3-5 adj, spacer system, sniper fill, Badger EFR, custom texturing, Anschutz rail, and Cerakoted Coyote tan and Patriot Brown. Surgeon DBM with AI Mag. We bed in our DBM with Devcon to ensure that it strengthens this area of the stock. After inletting and removing that much of the stock, we've seen small accuracy issues and have gained that back bedding.

-Chambered with a custom match PTG, the bore is timed to 12 o'clock position.

-Devcon bedding for the action and recoil lug, and we cleaned up the barrel channel after having to make room for the larger barrel with Marine-Tex to provide a .030" clearance around the barrel.

-All metal was finished in Patriot Brown with Sniper Grey accents.

-The scope is a Premier.

-Rings are Tally Tactical 6 screw rings Rings.

Thanks for looking.

Let us know if you need anything, our lead times are shorter than most at the moment.

Re: TTF - Seneschal Rifle - .308 - New Builder

no disrespect but why would you use the same name ga precision has used for years?

rich

nice gun by the way.

Re: TTF - Seneschal Rifle - .308 - New Builder

Very nice and clean looking rifle, good shooting.

It does look like a desert Tac Ops...which is interesting because your website "helo sniper" is a Honolulu PD officer shooting a Tac Ops Tango 51.

Re: TTF - Seneschal Rifle - .308 - New Builder

The love of the name came after living in China for a few years and not having the freedoms we have in the US. While there I took up the study of the Templars. I wasn't a member of the online forum community, and didn't know of GA Percision at that time.

After I formed the company with the registered name I did run across a couple of Templar references.

I did see that GA Precision has an action named the Templar, and our action will be named something else out of respect for GA Precision. I also found training and others out there who incorporate the Templar name. The Templar philosophy of protecting others and serving a greater ideology is probably why it's such a great fit for this community.

We are believers, and also seek to take a formal role regarding the name as we believe in the ideology.

It wasn't intentional, but we wanted to honor our Mason roots while trying to do what we love. I'm Hoping to be a valued member of this great industry and learn as much as I can from this community. Just tryin' to live the dream.

Thanks, Rich - if you're going to be at the Bushnell Brawl come out and shoot it.

I didn't even notice that one. The website is real new, and probably full of typos too. Those are just place holder images my web developer stuck in there off the web. We'll be replacing those with photos of our rifles and suppressors.

Tac Ops does make great rifles and we are a fan of their texturizing. We don't use Birdsong, so we can do any of the Cerakote colors.

update: George Mac, thanks again for the comments. just wanted to get back with you and let you know that the images on the website were updated with our image. I went back and studied the image of the police officer with the suppressor and I'm pretty sure that it was not a Tango 51, there is no stock texturizing on that rifle, and they usually leave the birdsong, that rifle was camo'ed up, just in case we replaced that image as well to a random stock photo of a guy shooting a suppressor. We'll update this photo as well; as soon as our suppressor is coated.

Re: TTF - Seneschal Rifle - .308 - New Builder

Curtis,

You appear to make a very nice looking and excellent shooting rifle, my complements sir. However, your decisions on names and photos should be more thought out before you announce your product in a forum such as this. Although GA and Tac Ops have not "patented" their products you should be aware of a certain amount of "branding" of products in this industry.

I hope you overcome this hurdle and wish you the best with your business and shooting endeavors.

Re: TTF - Seneschal Rifle - .308 - New Builder

I think you have some really nice touches on the rifle. Love the color combination on that particular rifle and also the small details such as the Templar emblem on the bolt. Rifle looks nice.
You have a Defiance Action, Bartlein Barrel, McMillan Stock, Surgeon Bottom Medal, and a Jewel trigger - what is not to love.

Re: TTF - Seneschal Rifle - .308 - New Builder

Very very nice looking rifle! And by the looks of things its a shooter too! I'm a huge fan of the color combo of the gun and the texturing you've done. Good job, and good luck in your business in the future!

Re: TTF - Seneschal Rifle - .308 - New Builder

This is one of the nicest rifles I have seen recently. I think the color combo works real nice and I like the occasional breakup of the color with the sniper Grey. The only thing I would do to top it all of would be coat the scope, but I also have a hard time coating such an expensive scope.

Re: TTF - Seneschal Rifle - .308 - New Builder

Great looking rifle, and best of luck to you in your new business! Competition is great for the consumer, and I applaud your efforts (since as a consumer, I benefit :D). Some people on here may think only ONE company can use the name "Templars", however, the actual number of people who own such an expensive rifle compared to the vast number of people on this site may well be quite small, so I wouldn't give it a second thought. Given the specs on your rifle listed above, I'm sure you'll do quite well! Best regards.

Craftsmanship is classy but not a fan of the color scheme. Hope your business flourishes.

Re: TTF - Seneschal Rifle - .308 - New Builder

I think the rifle looks great and great components. Color scheme is great as well.

Re: TTF - Seneschal Rifle - .308 - New Builder

I think this rifles looks very good and seem to be a shooter. I love the colors and choice of quality components. Have not looked at you website yet, but if you have a chance could you post pics of a build as it is coming together. I like to see pics of a builder doing his work/machining. Good luck with venture.

Re: TTF - Seneschal Rifle - .308 - New Builder

It seems imitation is the best form of flattery - bolt-knob, timed screws, color scheme, texturing, Anschutz (variety) rail...

Good luck with the business.
