Sorry if I'm the wrong forum
I wanted an LRA, but 450$ is a bit steep for me

So I'm looking for a Harris (wich I know) and a GG&G

As anybody tried the 2 and can compare them to help my decision ?

Thanks for your help !

Re: Wich bipod ?

I've spent more time in the field than I have at the range and I've never had any problems with my Harris.... Makes it hard to justify spending more on something else.

Main recommendation is get one with notched legs and a swivel base.

Keep your powder dry,

Re: Wich bipod ?

I have a Harris bench rest, notched legs, no swivel and one with swivel. I also have an Atlas. both are great but I like how extending the legs on the Harris is easier. Shooting from a hillside on uneven terrain is when I love the Atlas. My buddy has the GG&G and its a great bipod as well. I'm just not a fan of how cumbersome it is. Its built like a tank though. If its between the GG&G and the Harris I'd get the Harris. If its between the GG&G and an Atlas I'd get an Atlas. What I like about Harris also is the fact that you can buy all sorts of different feet for it for different terrain.

Re: Wich bipod ?

I have both the Harris and GG&G bipods and prefer the GG&G. Very solid.

Re: Wich bipod ?

I would go with an atlas quick detach. Yes $300 is a bit expensive, but it is actually cheaper if you use one for all your rifles. snap off, snap on.The only thing I wish they would do is offer a 45 degree opt out.At 45 degrees the bipod is less stable and it always interupts the quick flow between folded and deployed. If you are careful to push the buttons in all the way, no problem. I just would prefer two positions. Still it is my favorite.

Re: Wich bipod ?

Well maybe I should mention that it will be use mainly (98% of my time) fir range shooting.

So I probably dont need any fast detach.

Re: Wich bipod ?

i have no experience with the atlas, but the harris i have isn't too hard or slow to swap from rifle to rifle.

I have a harris and atlas. I prefer to use the atlas.
