this is what i am looking to have done to start , feal free to put in your OP

would like to get the extractor changed out for a sake extractor
have the action trued up ,

the rifle shoots great as it sits but fig it would not hurt to make it better . any idea how much this may cost ?

i will be heading up to a gunsmith that was recomended , see what he thinks

thanks

any tips or input on work that you think should be done !

Re: gunsmith work ?

If the rifle shoots great, then all I would do is the muzzle break, and shoot until the barrel is toast. If you true the action,, you will need a new barrel. If you do that, then order your barrel already flutted. If you were changing the bolt, and want a Sako style extractor, then get it. Otherwise, I wouldn't take out the Remington extractor which works very well. As for cost, well, That depends on who's doing the work, and I don't put prices on anyone's work, so sorry that I can't help you there. Best of luck.

Re: gunsmith work ?

Well of all the things you want to do, I would only get the muzzle brake done. Reason being is if the gun already shoots good, then why mess with it. If you true the action then you are going to need a new barrel and if you ate already going to have to order a barrel, then might as well order a fluted one. Also sako extractor is way over rated and some smiths won't even install one due do safety reasons. Like I said, I would just shoot it and do all the extra stuff when you burn the old barrel out. Just my .02

Haha STR beat me too it, damn I phone key pad...

Re: gunsmith work ?

#1. Bed it
#2. Cut 1" off and re-Crown / muzzle brake
#3. After market trigger 1-3# range
#4. Learn to re-load for it
#5. Choot-it Liz
