Thats great!! South Dakota honored us about 5yrs ago with a Viet Nam memorial and did it up right with a full weekend celebration.
We were treated like shit when we arrived back in the US with protests and anti military slogans all over. At least when we got back to the midwest people still treated us with respect so that was nice.

I made a lot of road trips across the country the last 10 years or so, several states.
I noted that South Dakota was number one (of the states I saw) when it come to "Support our Troops" and yellow ribbons.
Indiana was a close second.

Glad to hear it finally happened. Like it has been said before, this is decades late, IMO a national embarrassment.
