Finally got a teaser photo from Joel today, showing my stock before it starts its journey to CDI for final inletting. I am very excited and will post up finished photos when I get everything settled.

Not to knock it, but It's kind of plain-Jane for J. Russo work .
Is that some nice strait grain ( walnut ??? ) . It should look pretty nice when finished-up right .

It is just plain straight walnut. I grew up shooting M1s and enfields, so it will feel nice to have wood on this rifle again.

Color is plain at the moment, but with some finish on there, she will shine right up.
