M118LR 7.62 175 Gr. Long Range Sniper Ammunition

Re: M118LR 7.62 175 Gr. Long Range Sniper Ammunition

I would go with Southwestern Ammo -- just saying that or Corbon.

This. You will be making a mistake if you don't try Southwest ammo.

I hand load ... and this is the closest you will ever get. Mike is fantastic to deal with.

Re: M118LR 7.62 175 Gr. Long Range Sniper Ammunition

Just ordered 400 rounds of this stuff. New FC brass which should be the same military stuff you are looking at. 175 hollow point SMK which should be better than the 175 grain your looking at. If you go by the numbers listed on both sights the Southwest ammo has a higher BC of .505, and 50fps more at 1650.

Re: M118LR 7.62 175 Gr. Long Range Sniper Ammunition

Thank you everyone for your good advice. I reload most of my ammunition. I just like to have factory loads to compare them. I have ordered from Southwest .

Again thank you

You

Re: M118LR 7.62 175 Gr. Long Range Sniper Ammunition

Lets see...

US Armament 175- $126.95 = $25.39 box, 200 rounds shipped $274.01

Palmetto State Armory FGMM - $19.99 box, 200 rounds shipped = $208.90

South West (New 2012) 308 Match 175 - $18.50 box, 200 rounds shipped = $204.11

On the surface the SouthWest is the better deal, but not by much over the FGMM.

But if the FC/LC NATO brass on the new 2012 SouthWest stuff is indeed new NATO brass, that brass should outlast the commercial brass.

Have no idea what components are in the US Armament stuff and see no reason to try it with the other stuff markedly cheaper.

This guy has the right idea.

Southwest Ammo has been match proven to be a winner.
