Movie Theater Book : Team Reaper

Re: Book : Team Reaper

Nice to see the 'Bash mentioned there. I'm sure somebody here has a story or comment to make about it as well.

I'll see if I can get that book up here.

Re: Book : Team Reaper

Nick was in class at RO several times, he is definitely good to go... Should be a worth while read as he had a very eventful couple of deployments

Cool. I will have to order it.

Please buy the book, Nick is donating 100% of his profits from the book to the families of the men he served with who gave it all for our Country.

Re: Book : Team Reaper

Just finished reading the book. Great narrative is ruined bad grammar and spelling. Need to get a better editor and proofreader. Once you get past those errors, the book is a good read. I saw Nicholas in a few scenes in the Sniper Comp DVD.

Re: Book : Team Reaper

I received the book from Amazon last night. I stayed up late reading it. The book is a good read. I picked up three copies, when I read the profit was being given to help out Ranger families.

Thank you for your service.

Re: Book : Team Reaper

I bought a copy for myself, plus a few copies to give to other people I know who would be interested in reading it.

The book is a detailed first-hand account that gives a raw idea of what happens on the ground. I enjoyed reading it.

Keep in mind, though, that Nick is not a professional author - he's a professional soldier. He's also a very likeable guy and a certified bad-ass, but if you are looking for world-class literary prowess this ain't it. Like Nick himself, the book is what it is supposed to be, with no phoneyness or pretenses.

On my library shelf it sits right next to Trigger Men.

Re: Book : Team Reaper

Is this thing being sold exclusively through Amazon? I can't seem to find it for the Nook or the iPad.

Graham, this statement reminds me of comments made by Paul Howe about his book. He's a soldier not a grammar major. Read these for the content. Do not read these books with a red pen in your hand.

Re: Book : Team Reaper

Yeah, and: Publishers have editors, whose job is to correct spelling and other issues before a book goes to print. Not trying to detract from the author or his cause, but as an English major it's annoying for me to read poorly written material. I've got a red pen in my brain that can't be put down.
I'm off to buy the book though.

Re: Book : Team Reaper

I was at the bash the year nick competed. He had some great stories and I will definitely be picking up a few copies to help the cause

Re: Book : Team Reaper

Nick is a great dude, and doing this book not for his own gain but to help all the fallen soldiers.

I suggest everyone help him and buy as many copies as possible!!

Again, is this available outside of Amazon.com? I've tried to get it for the Nook and the iPad to no avail.

Re: Book : Team Reaper

I hope I didn't appear to be slamming Nick, far from it. As a Black member of the Hide, I'm damn proud to be able to have the opportunity to read about a black sniper in the field. For that matter I enjoy reading about our men and woman doing their service for those of us back home. Thank you all that have served!

True, much better said. Thanks

Re: Book : Team Reaper

A great read!!

Nick is a true bad-ass soldier. HOOO-AHHH!

Go Army! Go Rangers!

Re: Book : Team Reaper

Just bought it, one of my good friends is a Ranger and some of his buddies didn't come home. Excited to read it!

Good read , enjoyed the book. But he really needs to fire his editor/proof reader.Im no grammer nazi but parts of it were hard and annoying to read due to bad grammer/spelling.still worth buying though.

Agreed. I guess it's hard for people to admit sometimes that they suck at basic writing in their native language. There's no shame in using an editor or proofreader - in fact, it's smart on many levels because you are given a chance to see the work you've been too focused on for too long from a fresh perspective, often revealing mistakes (even simple ones). It's like having your battle buddy check your land nav work before heading out to that far point.

Good read, highly recommended. I took a RO class with Nick a couple of years ago. He's a rock star in my book. He also has a book on precision rifle shooting. It is called "Precision Rifle B.I.B.L.E." (Ballistics in Battlefield Learned Environments).
