Hey guys, I am looking to switch from regular stocks (I have a B&C and an HS Precision on my 2 R700s) to chassis system. So far, I have checked out McRees Precision, XLR Industries, and I just found Competitive Edge Gunworks. Before I found Competitive Edge Gunworks, I was leaning toward getting the McRees Precision chassis for both rifles, but now that I saw the Competitive Edge chassis, i see that I can really customize it to me. I am wondering how all of these chassis systems (and any others that I don't know of) measure up to each other. Whatever experience you have with these three or others, please share, especially if they relate to McRees or Competitive Edge Gunworks. TIA.

Re: Chassis Systems

I have a Mcree on order, it should be here on Tuesday. I spent a lot of time looking through the internet, reading post after post on several forums before I ordered it.

I've been running one of his stock for a couple months now and really dig it. Great off of barricades and positional. </div></div>

That does look like a nice stock, how much does it run?

Re: Chassis Systems

I just got a McRees stock and am hugely impressed with it. Everything is adjustable, there are flush cups everywhere you could want them, and you can change nearly every part to suit your needs, including the action center section.

It is slightly hefty, but at least in my case that isn't a bad thing.

Scott is also phenomenal to deal with if customer service is important to you.

Ultimately I would try and get behind some of these options before making a decision. While the quality and service are there, that doesn't count for anything if the stock is uncomfortable or doesn't work well for YOU.
