I've been checking bullet concentricity with the Hornady concentricity tool. In order to adjust the run-out of the bullet, the tool utilizes a thumb screw to essentially push the bullet near the mouth of the case in order to correct any run-out. At times, it takes quit a bit of pressure to push that bullet enough to get perfect concentricity. By doing this, will I lose accuracy do to inconsistent neck tension from one bullet that has not needed to be adjusted by the Hornady tool vs. ones that have needed to be pushed true with the tool?

Glad you asked this question, I still get occasional flyers from time to time after run out has been corrected now I need to document each case to see if that flyer was from a case with alot of runout correction and affecting the tension.

Something is causing runout. It`s either the chamber, dies, or the press. That`s what you should focus on. The Hornady fix-it is actually deforming one thing to correct another.

Agreed.
Use the tool to check your die setup only. When things are set right, your run out will always be better than .0015".
