Re: Good news for Arizona

does this still have to signed by Gov. Brewer?

Re: Good news for Arizona

Wow! That is good news. I heard this might happen but didn't believe it.

Re: Good news for Arizona

Still has to go to teh senate. Then to the Gov.

Re: Good news for Arizona

I just noticed that night hunting has been allowed as well in the last year.

Does anyone know anything about that one law that was gonna pass that let arizona residents buy suppressors without a stamp, as long as its kept in state.

Re: Good news for Arizona

Wait. It passed the senate and the gov signed it?

Re: Good news for Arizona

so Im told, 90 days after the legislature recess's, it goes into effect.

Re: Good news for Arizona

it goes into effect june 8th 2012, from what i can find on the web, also they passed some other bill about magizne compasity while hunting and one other one about carrying a side arm for protection but it has not made it to the gov. yet. leagl use of supressors and high cap mag goes into effect on june 8th 2012.

Re: Good news for Arizona

I hope it all goes well in Arizona for you guys. Oklahoma right now is trying to pass similar legislation so we can hunt with suppressors here too. Good luck.

Re: Good news for Arizona

I called game and fish and not surprisingly they knew nothing about this. I am looking forward to having my son hunt this fall with my suppressed 308. He shoots it so much better suppressed than unsupressed. But I am going to make sure I have a copy of something to show a game warden to validate legality.

Re: Good news for Arizona

It seems like 95% of the public and maybe 75% of the gun-owning public still think silencers are illegal.

In the past week I've let 3 avid hunters shoot my suppressed .300 Blackout. At first they steppd back and said, "Is that thing legal" but then shot it and they were instant converts.

We gotta get the word out and convince the public that mufflers are a good idea for lawnmowers, cars, Harley's and even guns.

And 99% of the 25% are intimidated by the 6 month processing times to the extent that they volunteer not to exercise their freedom to own a sound suppressor. That of course is what the liberal government types want so this means they win, and their strategy succeeds.
