Couple of spec sheets I received today, I haven't seen them elsewhere so I figured several guys would be interested. I'm looking forward to playing with both of them, they look like they've got potential. Just FYI, I already asked when the TMR would be in the 3-18, awaiting a response.

Way to go Leupold!

Files are large, 2 images, may take a few seconds to download. J

Nice! I can't wait to see the Mark 6 3-18x44mm. Last i checked on it rumored price was 1500-2000$ IIRC. Any news on the price?

Re: Leupold Mark 6 Spec Sheets 1-6x20 & 3-18x44

We can't or I should say I cannot want to get some in stock... We have a good number of them on order.

We are doing Pr-Orders on them $0 down.

Kind of disappointed with the two reticle choices on the 3-18.

+1 I would love to see the TMR as an option.

Re: Leupold Mark 6 Spec Sheets 1-6x20 & 3-18x44

Not even sure why they put the BDC type reticle on a scope with x18, seems a waste to me. And why they put the TMR on the 1-6 and not the 3-18 is beyond me. What a waste of what reads to be a nice scope in the 3-18.

Re: Leupold Mark 6 Spec Sheets 1-6x20 & 3-18x44

I'm sure they'll offer a TMR option it would only be logical IMO. We'll just have to see.

Re: Leupold Mark 6 Spec Sheets 1-6x20 & 3-18x44

If they put a TMR or M-TMR illuminated reticle on a 3-18x44, I'd throw down the money on the spot. Unfortunately, I have to cough up another grand or more to get what I want in a Mark8, and even then I can't get a TMR. WTF Leupold?!?

Still, it's great to see they're finally producing these scopes.

one From BigjimFish

SWFA is also showing a Tremor in the 3-18

Re: Leupold Mark 6 Spec Sheets 1-6x20 & 3-18x44

I've told Leupold about the TMR needing to be in the 3-18x44, I'll let you know if I get a response.

Street price around $1950-$2000, add $300 for the Horus option

J </div></div> Thank you, that scope really needs a usable reticle like the TMR or M-TMR. I really hope they listen, was looking to replace all mine with this but only if there is a real reticle in them.

Re: Leupold Mark 6 Spec Sheets 1-6x20 & 3-18x44

Thanks for posting the reticle. Wish it was 77gr though as I think this scope would be ideal for a RECCE setup and that's all I run. Close though, might be workable.

Im looking at them myself for the same reason. 16 inch RECCE in 7.62 and 5.56 with something replacing what I already have on my 18 inch SPR.

bullet grain and barrel length?

Re: Leupold Mark 6 Spec Sheets 1-6x20 & 3-18x44

I have the full spec sheets for the reticles too, I was just being lazy.....sorry!!

I'll try to post them this weekend, but til then.

5.56 - 62gr bullet, 2810 fps, 50 yard zero

7.62 - 175gr bullet, 2575 fps, 50 yard zero

Re: Leupold Mark 6 Spec Sheets 1-6x20 & 3-18x44

TAG. I am curious how this compares to the new Super Sniper 1-6x that is coming out. I need a 1-6x for my REPR.

You should tell them to make something similar to the CMR that is mil base (like the Gen2 XR), instead of BDC. Makes the reticle useless for other bullets.

This for sure. I literally NEVER shoot 62grn @stated muzzle velocity.

Re: Leupold Mark 6 Spec Sheets 1-6x20 & 3-18x44

jasonk,

The image above that krm375 posted shows the reticle is for the 62 grain, 2970 fps, 50 meter zero. Spec is in the lower right hand corner of the image. Is that velocity incorrect?

Geb</div></div> That's about right for M855 out of a carbine.

Re: Leupold Mark 6 Spec Sheets 1-6x20 & 3-18x44

Wanted the 762 bdc, but not too excited about those numbers for it either...sigh

I asked for a TMR style reticle that incorporates a red-dot center. I can't understand why their TMR offering doesn't have this when the CMRs for the 556 and 308 do.

Re: Leupold Mark 6 Spec Sheets 1-6x20 & 3-18x44

Well that's interesting on the 223/556 reticle. The notes next to the reticle show one velocity and the description below has another.

Re: Leupold Mark 6 Spec Sheets 1-6x20 & 3-18x44

Just curious, does anyone know why Leupold isn't offering a day-light visible red-dot in their TMR version of this scope?

The 1-6?

Re: Leupold Mark 6 Spec Sheets 1-6x20 & 3-18x44

Yes the 1-6. Apparently this one doesn't come with a day-light visible red-dot. I'd like the flexibility of running the TMR rather than a bullet specific calibrated CMR.

Re: Leupold Mark 6 Spec Sheets 1-6x20 & 3-18x44

Correction. I've just spoken with Leupold and apparently the TMR does have a daylight visible reticle. When dialed down to x1 the whole of the reticle is illuminated. So rather than a dot you'll have a small brightly illuminated cross. Good to know, this is a must buy for me.

Re: Leupold Mark 6 Spec Sheets 1-6x20 & 3-18x44

Im not a long distance shooter, but I was going to be using 155gr TAP for the longer applications (out to 500, 500y) with a 14.5 larue predatobr. Hopefully it follows the BDC close enough because this scope looks like the ticket.

Re: Leupold Mark 6 Spec Sheets 1-6x20 & 3-18x44

When will these scopes be available to purchase?? Sweet scopes.

May/June time frame.

Re: Leupold Mark 6 Spec Sheets 1-6x20 & 3-18x44

Leupold told by via email these scopes are available for preorder through their Fed/Mil program only. They are expecting June ship date and their pricing is VERY reasonable.

Re: Leupold Mark 6 Spec Sheets 1-6x20 & 3-18x44

So far I haven't seen them available for the MIL/FED program. Im patiently waiting

Re: Leupold Mark 6 Spec Sheets 1-6x20 & 3-18x44

there are 3 different 1-6's and 2 3-18s on the mil/le program available.

Send them an email to the address on the Fed/Mil site. They have been very helpful to me. They said the custom BDC dials will be available for the Mark 6 models shortly after release as well.

Re: Leupold Mark 6 Spec Sheets 1-6x20 & 3-18x44

I stand corrected! I'm all set now.

Re: Leupold Mark 6 Spec Sheets 1-6x20 & 3-18x44

Got mine ordered, too! Hopefully my PredatOBR will arrive around the same time...

Re: Leupold Mark 6 Spec Sheets 1-6x20 & 3-18x44

Just curious what reticle version are you guys looking to buy?

I`m going with the TMR.

I'm genuinely glad the first ones are going to those that need them most...but I have to admit to being a little jealous

as I've really been waiting for/wanting one of these... Stay safe! (and please let the rest of us know how you like it ASAP!)

Re: Leupold Mark 6 Spec Sheets 1-6x20 & 3-18x44

Awesome looking optic...although I am not really a big fan of BDC reticles. Anyone else agree with me?

There are to many factors that change a bullet impact...seems like a BDC wouldn't be the most consitant reticle.

They've even included spin drift, which is just silly...
