I think we need to ground all those fuckin things until all the bugs are worked out instead of handing over the technology to the highest bidder in the region.

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – Pakistani intelligence officials and local residents say a suspected U.S. drone has crashed in the country's northwest tribal region.

Two intelligence officials say the unmanned aircraft went down Saturday near Mir Ali, one of the main towns in the North Waziristan tribal area, the main sanctuary for Taliban and Al Qaeda militants in Pakistan.

The officials say the drone caught fire after it hit the ground and was believed to have crashed because of technical problems. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to the media.

Local resident Nasir Khan said he saw the burning debris from the roof of his home in the Machi Khel area. It was about 500 yards from his house.</div></div>

When the aircraft has problems and they know its going down. it is auto programed to do a nosedive and distroy any thing valuable. so all they really get is an engine.

Odd cause don't they have one of our "stealthy" drones that is pretty much a complete working model? .

it does that so they can get a ahold of any information that the drone has collected. not so they can copy the it.
