Steel Targets Used in Magpul's LR Training Videos?

Just wondering if anyone knew what size circles and squares those targets they were shooting at were? I imagine 10"-12" heads and probably 18" x 18" squares, or something in that ball park.

I'm planning on building one soon to go bury in a secret hill out at my favorite spot for the summer, and I really like the design of those targets where the head is suspended on chains and the body is posted up solid.

I'm shooting 175gr smk out of a .308 and planning on putting it a mile away.

Seeing as how I'm going to have it built what would be good dimensions? 3/4 MOA head? (12.75" diameter) and a 1.5 MOA body (25.5" square)??

Any tips on construction and materials??

Cheers.

I watched it last night and I heard Todd say they were shooting at a 16" plate. I don't know if it was the target they used at a mile or not.

if you stay away from magnum calibers @ short range you can make the targets out of 3/8 AR 400 plate and they will last the average shooter a lifetime. We build targets out of it and it works great. ring it all day long with 308s.
Some people would argue that AR 500 is better and it is but it is considerably more expensive.

I have some AR400 plates and 55gr 5.56 will tear them up. Anything with very high velocities will. And these were just FMJ's not a penetrator round(62gr).
