Thinking about getting a LEUPOLD mark 4 ER/T 6.5-20x50 M5a2, has anyone used the new locking turrets? Whats your take on this? Thanks!

It's an excellent optic and a worthy addition to anyone's set up.

While the locking turrets work just fine, they are just a little annoying if you always dial on your elevation. If you hold, they keep the knob from being moved, which is a good thing.
The glass is very good, the adjustments are positive and precise, I really like the TMR reticle. The knobs are large and readable, you just need to get used to pushing the button. I like the S&B implementation of the locking collar better, where it's either locked or movable, but that's just a personal preferance. It's a very nice scope.

Never played with the locking turrets model. But I love the Leupold TMR recticle. You might consider nightforce scopes as well.

Very happy with mine. I have the H-58 reticle in it and find the optic to be top-notch. The 'zero stop' is very easy to use and the locking turret isn't a huge hindrance even when dialing once you're use to it.

Newbie here, I just ordered one for a .308 rifle build with a TMR reticle so I will see how it handles my self soon.

Hi Jon,
The video does go over how to set the 0-Stop, it is quite simple to setup. Just rotate the Stop ring that is under the cap down until it stop, back off until a slot on the stop ring lines up with the triangle, and replace the turret cap and your done.
You guys beat me to posting the video that is great.

If you guys keep making videos like that i'll be broke! that video is definitely what sold me on the scope though. for some reason i really couldnt find out much more info or pictures from leupold directly. now i've gotta play the waiting game!
