Hiders,
I'm not the usual for writing reviews, and living in a state with out laws favoring suppressors I have to live vicariously through those that do. Hopefully someday the MN lawmakers will see the light like our neighbor to the west and allow responsible gun owners to can their guns.
Member c_bass16 recently sent me a copy of hi video "Predator Hunting Suppressed", He knew there were a pile of Minnesota boys baking in the sun and training in Kuwait, so he dropped me a line. I don't personally know him other than that my wife went to school with him.
APO got the DVD to me, and a bunch of gun nerds, farm boys, Scouts, Snipers, and a Medic sat down to watch the coyote hunt. These guy filed a good portion of their hunts by themselves, and did a really good job at managing the camera, call, rifle and shot. The Video quality was fantastic, not being a camera person, I can't say for sure, but it all looks as if its filmed in HD, audio is fantastic, and the clips are long enough to give you a sense of set up, but short enough to be exciting.
As far as instruction, the video outlines the calls they are using, a little about the rifles, set ups, and tactics for when your standard calling techniques and sets aren't working. From the predator hunts I have done, I can say one thing for sure; they never turn out the way I figured they would. Dogs are always one step ahead of me, and that one of the things I like the most about it. There are sets these guys use that are specifically in there to show the viewer how to go about changing things up for when the vermin just won't cooperate.
All of the hunts are suppressed, not knowing all that much suppressors I'll leave that to Joe, my amount of know how on cans is limited to the M110 and its suppressor. It's the only one I've used and it's all I really know.
The video is well worth a watch guys, great hunts, good info and outstanding camera work. My all time favorite shot of them all was one capturing trace from a 175SMK down and in to the head of a coyote running away from the shooter, that got more than a few rewinds and reviews.
Give it a look, you won't be disappointed, predator hunter or not. Its a fun video and like all good videos there is info in there I think anyone can learn from.

And...a big thanks to Joe for sending it our way. Long days in the desert are, well, long. And this was a great pick up for the guys to watch.
