Just wanted to say hello. My girlfriend just bought me a Howa 1500 as a present. I have been wanting a bolt gun for a while, and she evidently caught on. Anyhow, I look forward to becoming an active member of this site.

Re: Hello

Haha, trust me, I already am figuring that out. BTW, this forum may have already become the friendliest forum i have joined. Then again i come from a world of ZERO respect vehicle based forums (VW, and Jeeps). So thanks again for welcoming me.

Re: Hello

Im pretty sure that is the first time in history that the "'hide" has been called the friendliest...lol...welcome

Re: Hello

I guess people started reading the "do not attack new members" thread

Re: Hello

Maybe its my approach by now, haha. I guess i should have made my first post "which is better .308 .338lm or .50bmg" Then i may have felt the wrath.
I am really excited about my rifle though. Spent about 4 hours out today, brought my pistol, and my .22 (i figured I'd blow through the 40rds of .308 i brought real quick) but all I shot or wanted to was my "big" rifle.

Re: Hello

Hello, back at you. I was bitten by the bug, last year, and I'm still having fun. Welcome to the club. Sounds like you've got one heck of a girl friend. They're hard to find.Congrats, on the Howa!

Re: Hello

want to really get them going head over to the optics section and ask "what is the best scope?"....that should get you some attention...lol

Yep, one day you are shooting a savage 110 with nikon glass and the next day you are shooting a GAP 338 with S&B glass and find the Sinclairs catalog is about worn through.

Re: Hello

Joining the local gun club, and building a surplus of brass to load is on the short list. My Good friend is getting going with reloading so i am pretty excited for that aspect. Spending less, on nicer ammo is definitely win win.
