Looking to do a qd mount for a vortex viper I will be mainly running on my 700 .308. I will eventually be going to a higher end optic and when I do i would like to swap it between a couple other rifles. I dont plan to run anything more then a 50mm objective so I dont need something real tall. I am leaning towards a adm ad-recon-sl since I can get a real good deal on adm stuff, but if theres an alternative in the $200 or under range then Im all ears.

You should do a search here b/c this topic was just discussed recently. There seem to be two preferred one piece QD mounts -- the Spuhr and one other whose name escapes me. I have used Warne two piece mounts and they have held center just fine (using a Viper Vortex). Burris makes a PEPR one piece detachable, which I have on a Sig 556 DMR, but it's an AR-type mount.
