Do I go the bore snake route, or do I go the bore guide route with a cleaning rod, etc . . . What is the best?

Re: Cleaning the bore

I follow the lesson in the training section, run a bore snake through it after you're done shooting for the day and clean the bore with a cleaning rod every 500-1000 rounds.

Re: Cleaning the bore

We don't believe in cleaning barrels around here. Maybe an AR barrel, but hardly ever a bolt gun.

Re: Cleaning the bore

Agreed on using the bore snake while @ range or done shooting. Can remember which brand of rod I use but have been debating about upgrading to the KG rods.

+1 on the KG family of cleaning products. I use Dewey cleaning rods.
